Your Indo maid can just go to Indo Consulate with her old passport + current contract, + either 2 or 4 photos with red background (must tell the shop that the purpose is Indo passport otherwise the background colour may be wrong one).
Then she needs to fill in a form - in Indonesian.

So unless your Indo maid is illiterate (does not know how to read and write), otherwise she should be able to do it herself in the Indo Consulate. Those are all Indonesians, speaking their own language.

Also, you do NOT need to pay for her passport / passport renewal.

Employer's guarantee statement has to be made at and before the notary public in HK containing the matter as determined by the Indonesian Consulate General.
(文件內容，可以照抄印尼領事館放在有關網頁內的內容及格式。)

The old passport will be stapled together with the new passport.

Hi~

我想問問如果我DH helper 合約是11月頭完, 但我們想她八月回印尼3 星期至1個月 - 當完約放假 (因有屋企人係teacher 放 summer holiday 可幫手), 我們應該等她回來後才renew contact 還是之前? 我是不怕煩, 決定自行續約的..... 另, 有什麼 issue 要注意? Many Thanks!! :lol:

Indo Consulate will NOT process until within 1 month before current contract expires, i.e. in your case in early October.

另, 有什麼 issue 要注意

Tell your Indo maid to get these documents when she is in Indonesia and bring it back with her :

Statement letter from parent/guardian or husband (for married status) containing no objection to the domestic helper to extend employment contract without agency (attached with her parent/guardian or husband's copy of Indonesian ID Card and Family Card which is legalized by Village / District Head.

Yes,
Must exit and then enter HK once, within 1 year of new contract, i.e. if new contract starts from1 Nov 2006, then she has to leave HK / come back again before 1 Nov 2007.

Usually this is the time when the Indo maid takes her 14 days' leave to go home to see her family. You need to give her a HK/Indonesia/HK return air ticket anyway.

Not sure whether exit/enter HK on same day is OK or not -- depends on Immigration policy at that time. Sometimes a same-day trip to Macau or China will also do.

Should be 在新約生效後出境.

1. 如果你個工人是印印，用來續約那個工人驗身report, 是用來交給印尼領事館，並非hk入境處。

2。如果你個工人是賓賓，續約好似唔使交工人驗身report，但我唔肯定。

3。我自己用正價醫生，正價lab 做lab test，無平價的資料。那些$50的lab test report / 醫生信，通常是經agent做的。

我已替我的 DM 取回 passport 及 contract, 買埋機票 ... 暫時都一切順利 .... 相信她8月尾從印尼回來後我們自行續約應該OK ...
