in singapore, the chinese i studied was in simplified :)
so no problem..

i don't mind all the B6 post, but wat i mind is when some posts are not related... everyone started talking abt big 6 instead and all that .

細個時，我屋企開飛髮舖，我媽過節時，無論整咩都整好多，派街坊。端午整百幾隻糉，新年整幾底蘿蔔糕同芋頭糕，底底都好巨型。好可惜，佢無教我地，我地都無學到，因為每次入廚房，佢都話我地阻住哂，結果，我而家咩都唔識整，要上網學。

我媽都冇特別教，但細個要幫手，每年新年磨幾十斤蘿蔔，好似惡夢咁，但我又好有興趣睇我媽整，細個好鍾意喺廚房睇阿媽煮飯，阿媽淨係話唔好企咁埋，因住俾油彈到，我由小四小五開始幫手煮飯，最初係好簡單洗下米炒吓菜，果陣開飯8個人，我叔食嘢又咀尖，咩都彈一餐，餐餐要夠飯夠餸，阿媽又要車衫，所以我係中間插下手炒幾下嘅「蛋散」，

～最記得第一味自己整晒嘅餸係咖哩雞翼，學校家政堂學咗，阿媽特登去買咖哩粉俾我煮，阿嫲喺側邊睇實，其實煮得太辣，因為唔識較份量，成包隊晒落去，

好彩爸爸好食得辣，抵得諗冇出聲食晒，從此就開始幫阿媽手煮飯。多得父母廿年前移民，我同細佬妹要自己煮自己食，而家我地四兄弟姊妹個個都會煮飯，唔會餓死，haha~

我同意，而家太多負面posts，怪獸會員又多，投訴投訴又投訴，
有咩唔妥，好似話個小朋友無禮貌，就會有人問係唔係大6，
其實都唔一定關事，本地家長都有好多係咁啦，講怪獸本地好多家長，
幫D仔女報十幾廿樣課外活動，慌死冇人知仔女有幾叻果D仲

我都好明而家香港好多大6雙非加遊客，但真係唔排除有好嘅大6，
唔想見到一竹竿打一船人。我呢度都見到一D低質數大6人，
個小朋友搵腳踢我老公，家長喺一邊睇住唔去制止仲望住的老公笑，
我老公想鬧，但明知個家長都唔識聽，又有5歲女仔講粗口，
男仔講大話打交，不過我唔會標籤佢地，白人小朋友一樣有咁，
有D更差，父母甚至係專業人士，年薪百萬，唔識教就係唔識教。
根本應該對事唔對人，而家有時去公海冇嘢啱睇，冇嘢想回。

No CNY atmosphere here... not many chinese people. Was thinking of going to Chinese grocery store (well more like Vietnamese opened Asian grocery store) but it's too cold to go these couple of days (right now, 5pm is -12C). Ah well. Just thought maybe they have CNY cake or daikon cake. Don't have any ingredients to make anything (plus our stove died and need to get a new one).

Just had a interesting conversation with husband . We r watching kids video with sofie. And the video teaching color. And it said sun is yellow!!! And I saw we were taught it is red when we were young! And he said I m crazy!!!

He said so when young u all always draw sun in red?none of u look out when drawing?

Hehe, it reminded me of something else. Husband's family has multiple cats, whereas I didn't grow up with any pets at all. When we first met, I asked if they give the cats fish everyday as that's what we're taught in books. He said no! Cats hunt, they like killing birds and all instead! They like meat (chicken, turkey etc). And now that we have our own cats, I found that fish is okay to give occasionally only but not all the time because of mercury or that some cats are allergic to fish.

Funny what we were taught :)

But I saw my grandma's cat ate fishes when I was young. I went back to China (where my grandma lived) and I caught several fishes. My grandma kept them in a small bucket in the center yard (the old house in China has an open yard in the center of the house). The next morning, the fishes disappeared and my grandma "asked" the kitty who looked so guilty

My children also color the sun in yellow and they are taught that cats drink milk.

They do like fish, but it shouldn't be their main diet. I just never knew they like killing birds! And love eating chicken or turkey or giblets!

Can't give cow milk to them either because of lactose (most of them can't tolerate it). Pet stores sell some milk that is safe for cats. Well I guess you can still give cow milk to them if you don't mind cleaning up the mess!

I never knew all these cat stuff until I did research when we got the cats... I always say I am such a good cat mama because they eat all healthy and I eat all the junk food instead lol :)

One thing I know is that cat likes catching mice. I saw one cat catching a mice and playing with it before he ate it

I don't think that I'm going to keep any pet at home, too much work. I can ask my kids to clean up their mess but I have to do that for pets. Also, my hubby likes all those reptiles such as gecko, lizard, snake

...I cannot stand for these. I told him that I need to stay in another house if he brings these home. My son just likes all kinds of animals, dogs, cats and reptiles, snake, etc. just like his father. My daughter is a chicken, she scares of everything...the spider the most.
