You can pay coins to take the bus. The bus driver will ask you to take a ticket from the machine next to him after you pay the coins.

Dear 元元,
For the taxi, just like Hong Kong. But they have 2 type, one is normal, the other is Benz. Of course, the Benz is much expensive. For example, the fee from airport to Orchard Road, the normal one is SD$19, but for the Benz is around SD$35. If you don't mind the price, you can try it.

2) 有沒有人參加民丹島村外旅遊?值得嗎?酒店內有tourist counter可報名參加半日團到紅樹林或睇大象, 但若到小村莊Pasar Oleh Oleh只用在酒店買車票便可(約S$2-3).
3) "star hub" 電話card可否在民丹島通用?Yes!
4) 你們常提及星加坡買兒童書藉是否在orchard road(?
MTR/?EXIT)?Sorry, 沒到過.
(o吾好意思之前看過無寫底,勞煩請講多次!)
5) 星加坡的士似不似香港伸手可乘?還是在的士站or call的
士搭?如你從酒店出發在酒店門外多數有.

Regarding the staff canteen, if you are taking SQ (i.e. T2), the location is on the 3M floor. Exact direction will be when you are facing the immigration counter before entering into it, go the the right most, and take the exit to the carpark, you will see the direction of airport staff canteen. follow the sign to take the lift on lobby F, and get up to floor "3M", the canteen will be out there.

For the staff canteen in T1, it should be a floor lower than the departure floor, somehow in the middle of the departure hall, there is a short staircase going down, and there it is.

The rate in Suntec city is around 0.212, i.e. 4.716 on 20/6.

I think the rate is better in HK than in Singapore. If you have powervantage a/c with HSBC, you can buy at their TT rate online, which is much lower than the notes rate, and then get to the bank and withdraw the singapore dollar notes that you have bought.

I don't think you need to worry much as there is always thunderstorm forecast for Singapore. I just come back on Monday. Thunderstorm really happen but in midnight only. Day time are a bit groomy but still sunny. Hence you may need to watch out the weather each day and decide where to go. Otherwise stay in those shopping malls, relax and shop as it's Great Singapore Sale ma.

我11/7-16/7都會去民丹島,星航package住Bintan Lagoon三日兩夜包自助早餐和船票HK$2,480， 比多$530可住5晚！即約$3000/5nights,3大1小約$8000,抵唔抵呀？
and我想係新加坡玩2日16-18/7！
但星期六,日新加坡玩會唔會好多人？
定係改11/7-13/7-->新加坡
13/7-18/7 --> 民丹島好？可否比d意見,
and 可否提供行程編排？many thanks!

peninsula excelsior hotel ---- NO la. very old, but location is good.

river view-- location is bad. if you try riverview, u can book holiday Inn atrium, cost $510 with BF/night from wingon.

15:30 plaza parkyroal hotel check in (由丹挪美拉渡輪碼頭坐taxi)
16:30 到orchard road shopping (MRT由EW12 bugis 到NS22 orchard)
17:30 到marina bay – 魚尾獅公園 & 紅燈碼頭 (MRT由NS22 orchrd 到NS26 raffles)
18:30 到老巴剎美食中心食晚飯
20:00 到牛車水 (步行要幾耐?因看map很近,坐的士,會否拒載?) or MRT:NS26 raffle to NE chinatown
21:00 到小印度 (MRT由NE4 chinatown到NE7 little india)
22:00 回酒店 (by taxi)
