I attended a seminar last night. It’s organized by a company which selling baby learning kits. I bought a number of learning kits from them to hayhay b4 and they arranged a seminar on how to make good use of the learning kits for their members.
The instructor clearly explain how to “play” the kit w/ our baby, time arrangement and how to divide the whole day “learning-time” to fully use the kits.
At the seminar, some parents started to play the kits to their baby since new born and resulting their baby can point out different items & alphabets under 1 years old.
Other than learning how to use the kit, I also learn from others about their experience of teaching/playing w/ their baby. The 2.5 hrs seminar (in fact should named as sharing group) was really interesting and enjoyable.
hayhay's daddy has to work at Sat. p.m. ga. But I will ask him to go w/ us when the date is fixed and hope that he can make it. If fact he enjoyed to come too as last time (the birthday party of Jan/04 babies) it's really a wonderful time for him to play/see so many babies and their parent.
Small_Cloud,
Same as cherylyeung, I may arrange playgroup for hayhay after 1.5year. now, I just buy many books, CD/VCD/DVDs and learning toys for her.
For me, I want to let hayhay play more w/ same age group bb, thus I must "bring" along hayhay w/ me when attending the gathering.
For hayhay's daddy, it's much much depend on whether he's available. Just like the gathering b4 last (i.e. Sept/04) I attend w/ my maid only (since daddy was busy and I don't think I can manage hayhay myself at that time)
I do hope Jason plays more with others and most of the time I try to bring him with me but I want to say is that if no gent attends the gathering, my husband may feel boring or embarrassing.
