hope yat hei will get well soon!

everyone is ill..... so many germs around, still thinking whether to do flu shots. cos lucas has been having cold/flu on & off, been taking cold & cough medicine. & he just did the 1 yr old vaccination last week, seems like too many mediciation, what do you think? but the doctor said this is the best time to do it, cos there are 2 shots & the "flu peak season" will be early jan????!!!

thanks! yat hei is fine now. dr said the high fever happened since his cold was not fully recovered and the ear was also slightly infected.
my dr didn't ask me for flu shots... but i've also thought of that. however, i planned to take him for chickenpox vaccine in mid jan and he has to take the last shot for pneumococcal in march. seems so many injection??
instead, i want to have a flu shot myself so that his chance of being inflected by me can be reduced.

good idea. flu nowadays it's v hard to be fully recovered + working in an office, v easy to catch flu!!

working yesterday and today... but v.busy ar..

have u filled in the form for Junior Potential? re the form for choosing the tasks that baby can do, we find that yat hei cannot do most of the tasks.. hor hor...

Dear All,

just managed to come back from KL with the whole family ..... well, the trip was so boring and too tired ..... but we've already an expert for taking bb on trip lu ...... heheheeeee ..... planing to take him to Club Med next Nov ........

for the flu shot, we had it for the whole family including bb b4 the trip ...... so suggest u do it expecially those who take care bb ......

for those don't feeling so well, hope u'll get well very soon ........

pls share your some tips in bringing bb overseas, we always wanted to take bb on our trips, but in the end we always chickened out.

will bring bb to uk to see my husband's relatives. v scared, it's long haul flight 12 hrs???!! he will be around 18 mths???!!!

will do the flu shots myself + my bb still has a cold, will take him for a shot as soon as he recovers.

just want to check with 0612 mamas, my son doesn't like following instructions. i taught him to do "ching ching", he knows how to do it, cos he does it when he's happy & he say, "ar ar ar" & ask me to watch. but when i ask him to do it, he will turn away????!! things like bye bye & dim chung chung, no chance!!!! :-( :-(

well .....

first, u have to have a huge luggage .....

second, u have to have a maid with u ......

third, u have to prepare for going nowhere .........

may be u can try to take him to a short trip like bangkok first to see what u have to handle ..... as not every baby is the same ...... for Liev, we're so lucky that he slept and ate as usual during the trip ........ and most important is to bring enough food and try to give him for a trial b4 the trip ....... and find out what sort of food that ur baby would really really love ........ for Liev, he doesn't like the baby food even though he ate b4 ..... and luckily that he loves banana so much and it's very easy to buy banana in KL ........ so we add banana to every meal ...... and he finally ate all the congee and cereal.........

Hmmmmm, taking a 18m baby in flight is not so easy as they need less nap and will be so active but so less place for him ....... suggest u book flight as earlier as u can and remember to mark the long-leg seat ...... bring biscuit and bottle with nipple for bb to eat & drink during the up & down ........ toys doesn't function much .... if they want to cry, just let them and prepare to be "white eye" by other passengers ........ ar ....... poo poo is another big issue ...... it's advised u "make" him do it b4 u get on to the plane ......

bring ur laptop if u can, as playing his enjoyable movie would be a good way to make him stay still .......

woo, so much to say ......... still have so much ........ just ask me la .......

i will bring bb to the states this CNY. so many worries. ?-(
i go w/ my whole family, so we can take turns to take care of him. we will stay in relative's hse and hotels.
i hv a few ques:
1) did u cook congee for him or just feed him bb food? cuz' i'm still struggling whether to bring a mini rice cooker or not? or simply add water to those instant japanese congee?
2) did Liev cry on the plane? someone said maybe feed bb some biscuits so his ear won't feel "pressured".
3) where to change diaper on the plane?

i'm sure many ppl will "white eyes" us. just as what i did b4 hahahahhaha!!

1) did u cook congee for him or just feed him bb food? cuz' i'm still struggling whether to bring a mini rice cooker or not? or simply add water to those instant japanese congee? - I bought "ready-to-eat congee" from Japan in Jusco, cost $6.9/pack, very good, easy to make it hot, just put it in the hot water for 15 mins then add whatever baby food u want ..... but u have to try it b4, not only one time as baby's appertize change everyday ...... I try it 2 weeks b4 the trip, so bring cecreal if ur baby still want it as if he doesn't want to eat congee, u still have other choice ......I also bought some jars of japanese baby food, already have meat, veg & rice ...... quite good but have salt ....... so just a few is more then enough .......
2) did Liev cry on the plane? someone said maybe feed bb some biscuits so his ear won't feel "pressured". - for the flight from HK to KL, Liev didn't cry and he behaved just as ususal, we gave him biscuit and water and milk ....... but for the flight from KL to HK, he did cry but due to wake up by someone .... then have bad mood then didn't want any food and drink ........ u fly to states then u can't bring much liquide, so u just ask for the hot water, but just don't give mineral water as baby's 腸胃 can't afford it ....... suggest u bring juice or ask for juice (as airline will provide if they can) just in case ur baby doesn't want water ...... bring bottle and formula .........feeding biscuit and drink from the bottle with nipple is a good way to lower the "pressured" .... cry is also work .......
3) where to change diaper on the plane? - be sure to mark the long-leg seat and tell the airline that u want the seat with an infant desk, then u can change it on the table or u can bring a "one-time-use diaper changing mat" to put on the floor and let your baby stand up for changing diaper, so use learning pants are much easier to handle .........

Do buy the distilled water for baby to drink and stop trying new food one week b4 the trip ......... ar, bring a clean table cloth or big cloth so that u can put it on the floor and let baby play on it of course there's always someone to keep an eye on him ...... bring one set clothing for just in case ........

Yat hei is willing to do "ching ching" sometimes, but he likes to destroy rather than build up the toy blocks. After i have built some toy tower with blocks, cars, lego, etc., he will destroy it and run away...

are all babies behave in the same way??
