Dear pibb,
Not sure if the embryo has implanted or not until your "official" pregnancy test. But since you have a Pregnyl injection, which is HCG hormone, you will get a false positive if you do a urine test tonight. HCG is what pregnancy test kits check for. HCG stays in the body for a relatively long time; my center usually gives it a week before checking bingo.
Hi Cutecutetown,
Thanks so much for your prompt reply!
What if I use 排卵條 to check instead of a pregnancy test kit (as people said that it can also be used for pregnancy test)? Do u think the injection will affect the result?

Same principle, the HCG in the injection will give you a false positive on 排卵條!

Tks for your quick response! Yes it\'s aneuploidy screening, but they also have our blood test samples and so they can use that as DNA blueprint to identify whom the wrong DNA comes from. I do it overseas.
We took test and don\'t have any family genetics disease. But dr suggest pgd to see I\'d we can find out any reason that cause recurrent miscarriage at very early stage. (Low hcg positive).
So what u think? And which is more effective, Sperm bank or fresh donor egg transfer?
You may be able to implant a normal embryo and won't need to worry about donor material. What's your hubby's sperm like, very low count and poor morphology?
hubby's sperm has greatly improved. concentration >20M/ml, motile 20%, doctor said it's normal now. i don't see morphology in the report. but if dr said it's normal, then it should be. so what should be next step? cuz we are sort of at a stage where both fertility specialist and urologist have no clue!

I don't see the need of using donor eggs/sperm yet.

Your uterine lining and your uterus normal? Proceed with your PGD as planned.

yes doctor said lining is good. it was 10mm one day before hcg shot.
thanks for your comfort! but the reason i consider egg donor is it has been 3 years, done 3 IVFs and several IUIs. we don't want to wait forever. clock is ticking. is it true that the more IVF u tried, the lower the success rate? from your experience, what % of women finally got pregnant after they try >3 times of IVF?
Dear jlin123,
Based on all your previous postings to me here, you did get "biochemical" pregnancies; straightly speaking, the general rule of "much lower success chance after 3 ivf cycles" does not quite apply in your case.
If you will be going overseas for PGD/aneuploidy screening, I would like to see how many normal embryos out of all the embryos you have. If this time you will have at least one normal embryo for transfer and yet still come down with a biochemical pregnancy or early miscarriage, then transfer the remaining normal embryos if there will be extra to freeze. Women suffering from recurrent miscarriages have a much better success rate (with baby delivery) after aneuploidy screening.
The use of donor eggs/sperm means that your resulted child will lack your genetic contribution or your husband's. Clock is ticking usually for the woman, rarely for the man. You will have enough time to go through the above PGD before considering donors.
Dear schealthy,
The miscarriage in ivf is similar to natural conception. You don't see much reports from natural conception because some of the women, conceived naturally, might not even know they were pregnant in the first place. In IVF, we check and know a pregnancy as early as ~4 weeks of gestation; versus naturally, you probably won't know until 6 weeks.
It is nice to see jm's who are preparing, undergoing, or after IVF are helping each other out on this platform. My goal here is to clear out some of the myths and odd concepts; and of course, I share your frustrations and happiness as well. I see many gametes and embryos day-to-day, and it is nice to "connect" with their parents as well.
