Children Seeking entry to Primary One should:
(Oral interaction)
- Be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in routine social and classroom situations
- Use acceptable social formulae (e.g. please, thank you, excuse me)
- Use learnt formulae, well rehearsed patterns and short simple utterances
- Give some basic personal information on request
- Show understanding of past, present and future tenses through use of time references (e.g. yesterday we…, tomorrow we…)
- Follow simple instructions (relying on key words and context)
- Extend answers to questions beyond simple word responses (i.e. phrases and simple sentences)
- Be able to use simple adjectives to describe or add emphasis
- Use comprehensible pronunciation, stress and intonation when speaking
- Be able to sustain concentration for a group story and be prepared to participate in answering questions and prediction activities
- Communicate with other children in the group using English
- Indicate when they don’t understand and ask for repetition
- Use questions to elicit help
條件：不用提早一至兩年報名，當我地的BB讀K1時就要留要ESF的website，會講明是收邊年出生的小朋友的。The parents of children joining the school are required to pay a non-refundable admission fee of HK$10,000 which will be deducted from the first term’s fees.
You are right. 英基是英語學校，完全唔著重中文(只有Mandarin class, 同埋學簡體字)，我地都有consider過，正所謂針冇2頭利，好難make decesion的。同妳一樣, 我地都是會返加拿大(不過會去Quebec, 到時亞囝亞囡重要pick up French), 現階段我同個囡講English, daddy同工人就講中文, 只教她好simple的french, 一家人吃渴玩樂就一定用中文了，因為想她在香港時講多些中文，起碼唔識睇都識講。
聽講耀中是一間好學校，不過學費勁貴。
有兄弟姊妹響英基o既學校讀緊是有優先入讀o既機會的(應該話一定收)，讀過就唔清楚了。
英基屬下有3間幼稚園，一間在Sheung Wan, 一間在Clearwater Bay, 另一間在TsingYi，唔包一定可以升上英基屬下小學，都要interview, 不過我估機會會大好多，但我亞囡都有朋友仔，讀緊上環ESF，而QBS唔收，個亞媽好失望。
I guess we will go for your suggestion and have our first gathering at Tony Roma lah. Any idea when we have to confirm the exact date? Would you please check?
I think the booking for 28 Feb. is no problem unless I'm going to cancel it, but it's hard to tell about the availability of 29 Feb. since they have got ONE private room only but I'm sure no body reserved it for now. For safty sake, we can reserve it on 29 Feb. if needed!!! What do you think?
