Please be very careful with your children.

POLICE have warned that a man who sexually assaulted a nine-year-old girl in a department store may strike again.

Police said two sisters, aged eight and nine, were in the Myer Chadstone store with their parents about 4.30pm on Tuesday when they asked to go to the toy section.

A man standing at the top of the escalator then asked the girls to try on some clothes.

After entering the unattended changing room area, the man allegedly assaulted the nine-year-old. He then fled the store, but remained at the shopping centre until 7pm. The girls immediately returned to their parents and told them of the alleged assault. Inspector Simon Clemence of the sexual crimes squad said police feared the man could strike again.

Police are combing the area and distributing flyers with the man's description. Police also revealed there had been a sexual assault on a woman at Chadstone in 2004 by a man matching the suspect's description but could not say whether the two assaults were connected.

A Myer spokeswoman said that while changing rooms were attended by staff or security it was generally only at peak times.

Asked whether security would be stepped up at the Chadstone store, she said that the "staff at the store are aware of the matter and obviously they'd have a heightened level of awareness".

The man is described as between 30 and 40 with dark skin. He was wearing a light green top, jeans and carrying a shoulder bag.

如果你一個月前先pack櫃走,咁你有機會到左melb要慢慢等收櫃囉,咁咩都無咪好唔方便?

不如你早d搵定人報價,大約走前3個月,問定哂資料,到時fix左一間,又可以攞左箱慢慢pack住野先,最後慢慢比運走日子同地址佢,咁會唔會好辦事d?
至於囡囡,真係最好今年插term4啦,但如果明年先跟你來,點插year6呢??要馬上入中學啦播,你問下glen waverly如果11/12月先比到地址証明佢,有無可能收囡囡啦.唔好問一間呀,跟手問多幾間中學啦.跟大隊開學係最好,特別係佢咩都唔識,而其他人都係新入既時候佢會易適應d.工人姐姐係無可能申請working visa嫁,如果同佢申請travel visa叫佢陪女讀書得唔得呢,佢travel visa可留幾耐呢??呢方面真係唔知.你不如問一問入境處,同埋勞工處,工人agency呀咁....快d問下啦.見到你咁漏氣真係鄧你囡囡擔心.

I just had a look at GWSC's website ... gee "At the present time* the College has no capacity to enrol into YEAR 7, YEAR 8, YEAR 9. The College will, where required, support families in enrolling students into neighbouring schools. Prospective enrolments should contact the College before securing a leased property or purchasing a property to discuss enrolment options.

Complete documentation on residential status must be provided including a copy of the applicants' Drivers Licences."

Just showing the lease (at least 12 months in duration and must be concurrent with the year of enrolment) is not sufficient ... they also require utility bills to proof that you are actually living there. The driver license is another document to proof your address is within the school neighbourhood area.

They are dead serious.

Have you checked the real estate websites to see if the areas within the "school neighbourhood area" have reasonable number of units or houses for rent? After reading the above, I have a feeling that because the school, accommodation in these areas are in HOT demand!!

BAMUM88, I'm afraid I don't have any good suggestion other than seriously consider how worthwhile it is to wait until you get the redundancy package. If money is important (and I can totally understand why), may be it's time to look for another school.

I hope other moms have good advice for you.

嘩....devlin媽真叻叻,咁仔細既.

看情況似乎你想入glen waverley真不易呀,咁你真係要魚翁撤網,盡快搵定多幾間中學.
咁既情形,如果我係你,我會先揀一區特別多好中學既,集中問那區既中學,睇下邊間最有機會收,然後睇定租屋情況.萬一a學校唔收,至少同區有b or c學校再博.
唔好再漏氣啦,又唔好搵死一間,我既例子其實真係算lucky嫁咋,佢真係可以唔收我嫁,所以我揀呢區,係in case衰左,仲有2間其他中學揀,但佢地好衰,校網未必會重疊,所以你搵樓前要好小心睇/問清楚每間學校既界線.

你過左一條街可能係a學校校網但唔係b學校校網嫁啦,小心小心.

Melbourne moms,

It'll be interesting to watch Channel 7's Today Tonight later this evening. They have asked a number of well known Australians to take a test on Australian values and history etc. Devlin爸 once said if he were to take a test on Aussie history, he would certainly fail.

我同你一樣咁漏氣,又把持不定。我個仔今年五年班, 原本我想佢先完成小學階段先過去, 但又唸到香港同澳洲嘅開學時間唔同, 所以依家打算六年級只讀上學期, 08 年初便過去 (但又覺得幾可惜, 因為完成唔到小學階段)。我都未開始搵學校, 因為未有地址, 相信都唔會有學校收。睇嚟都要盡快搜集資料啦。

Just watched the program. I got it wrong ... they didn't ask them to do the test. They asked for their opinion if new migrants should take the test. They interviewed Sarina Russo of the Sarina Russo Group (her parents came from Italy) and John Ilhan of Crazy John (parents from Turkey). Although their parents didn't need to take test of any sort at that time, both said it's perfectly right for the government to implement the test now.
