As most mums here have already shared their itinerary, I just highlight part of my trip which I think is useful.
[size=medium]1. Sentosa
Sentosa Resort & Spa (former name was Beaufort Hotel) - we lived here for the first 2 days. The hotel is nice and comfortable. Room is spacious also. We could see peacocks all around. Heard that this one should be better than Shangrila which is quite old.
Fountain Show - very crowded there cos it was free. The first session at 7:40pm was full already, so we had to go for the second session at 8:40pm. Think this should be the one and only one free attractions on the Island.
Underwater World - my son liked to stand on the travellator and watch the fishes for almost 10 times!!
Dolphin Lagoon- this ticket comes along with that of Underwater World. i.e. you have to buy both at a time. You may sit on the beach and take a very close look of the dolphin. But the dolpines are not pink in colour (it was grey actually) which is different from the pictures in leaflets.
Volcanos - better not go!! I'm much regret in paying S$10 entrance fee to see rubbish!! :tongue: :tongue:
[size=medium]2. Singapore Zoo/Night Safari
I bought the Combo ticket for these 2 attractions which is cheaper than separately bought.
In Zoo, I let my son (aged 4) to take the Pony Ride. He sat on the back of the pony and took about 3 minutes ride. As he was accompanied by a Zoo staff all the way, it was in fact very safe. My son was very happy and highly excited!!
In night safari, animals actually cannot be seen clearly if you just ride on the zoo train. If you want to have a closer look, it's better to get off the train during each stop (there are altogehter 4 train stops at the night safari), take a walk and go for an adventure for animals. Once I saw a 3 feet long chameleon standing beside me at the footbridge and I had almost stepped on its tail!!
[size=medium]3. Singapore Science Centre/Snow City
These 2 attractions are quite close, just about 10 minutes walk in between. So you may visit both at a time.
The science centre is very educational and worth to go (especial if you're interested in science-realted topics). The centre is divided in 5 sub-sections which one of them is for smaller kids. They can play the haha-mirror, sound effect, blowing large bubbles, etc
In Snow City, I was almost freezing cos the temp was -ve 5.9 degree Celcius. Remember to bring your HSBC credit card along for S$4 off per head. Better bring your own glove cos you may need to rent it at S$1 and the size would be too large for kids.
The size of the Snow City is not large, and it is divided into 2 areas - one of them just like a children's playground for playing igloo, snowman and slides; the other is that you bring a bubble ring up to a height of about 2/F and slide down. I found this sliding activity is quite dangerous and has to pay extra attention for younger kids. In my opinion, this activity is not suitable for kids of age 3 or below.
Jurong Bird Park- it is just nearby, but I have no time to visit.
[size=medium]4. Meritus Mandarin Hotel
We lived in this hotel which is located at Orchard Road for the remaining 2 days. Room is also nice and spacious, but the hotel staff is not very helpful and the attitude is not satisfactory also.
We tried the so-called awarded Chicken rice at Chatter Box downstairs (opened 24 hrs). But the taste is just so-so and expensive ....
Better save your bullets for the chicken rice at 文東記 located at River Valley Road. Taxi fares just S$3 from the hotel.
[size=medium]5. Wild Wild Wet
This one is very playful and excited. We have a lot of fun there!! :lol: :lol:
There are 5 different coloured slides with different height. My son played again and again and don't want to stop!
We'd also climbed up to 2nd floor and sat on the rubber boat and slide down..... very very excited!
But my son cannot meet the heigh required (122cm) so he cannot ride the sky-rider (riding bike in the air) and cried for almost 10 minutes... :-( :-(
[size=medium]6. Takashimaya
Takashimaya is a Janpanese dept store next to Meritus Mandarin hotel at Orchard Road.
I found Harrods Store selling Harrods bag and Harrods chocolate at B2 (next to food court). Large size bags only cost S$38-42 (around HK$18X), and medium size bags only cost a few S$ cheaper than that of large one. Those bags in HK was all over $300!!!
阿坤 Kai-yan can also be found in this food court.
Kinokuniya is a very large bookstore located at 3/F of 2nd block of Takashimaya. Size is as big as a medium sized library at HK. Numerous children books found e.g. Eric Carle, Sandra Boyton, Laura Numeroff, Clifford, Bob the Builder, Thomas, Disney, Scholastics, Tonka, .... , and much more!!
I found the ORT higher stage (esp Stage 6 or above) there is chepaer than that of HK. I bought Stage 8 & 9 books which costs around $3X-S$4X a pack (i.e. around HK$200). However, it cost over $300 in HK!! Really good bargain. But for ORT lower stage, it's just a little bit cheaper than that of HK or similar price.

Thanks a lot for the help. But my trip had cancelled as my girl was in high fever 103-104 C before departure. :-( :-(
I bought the package from Wincastle and no $1 refund for the cancellation of tour. Now I am busy with claimming the travel insurance. The hotel in Bintan will not charge me and the Bintan ferry will charge handling of S$5 per head.
Any mum had the same experience of cancellation of tour ? Any refund from the tour agent? What is the best /fastest way to claim the travel insurance?
Oh, we have to wait for next summer to have another trip.
When did you buy the travel insurance? If you bought it before your girl was sick, you should be able to claim the package cost from the insurance company providing you have the doctor's certification confirming your daughter's illiness.
My insurance agent who is also a friend of mine just told me a case similar to yours. Her customer was able to claim the tour cost since she bought the travel insurance one week before she travels. She felt off from the ladder the day before she travels and hurt the leg and couldn't make the trip.
我都無去到bird park,因為成12點先去科學館,仲睇o左兩套戲,亞女差d5夠時間玩。我都有去文華食雞飯,totally agreed with you,真係今時5同往日,以前7點己經要排隊,今次去8點鐘都5滿座。
If I am not wrong, I remembered sky rider in Wild Wild Wet not requested for 122 cm height, last year my daughter already tried it and also this year, this year she is only 121 cm.
My departure date was last Sunday and I bought the travel insurance a week before the departure and I just request the claim form from the insurance company and hope that can claim back the cost of the package charges and the handling charge of the Bintan ferry.
