Her whole body, hands & arms, legs, face & neck and even head are red. Water comes out from her face. Extremely red and swelling skin in her legs (I have already tried cycle method by putting 3 days x 2 times 1% Hydrocortsone and rest for 2 days now --> skin turn white then becomes red and swell once I stop the 1% H creme.) Should I continue to use?

Since she still a small baby already drink 50% breast milk + hypoallergenic milk, the paed dr thinks she should admit to hospital and consult derma doctor's idea.

I have never expected that she need to admit to hospital laaa. So worry that she may get the infection (U know, she has small woulds on the face ma).

Have your kids admit hosp due to test/ check. The doctor even said that they may need to cut her skin for test...so scarry.

I am still at work now...till 10pm tonite (cannot take leave la --> financial crisis ma). Need to go to hospital after work.

I think you may continous at least one more week and try to see a private derma doc to get idea first, int order to see infected with 金黃XX菌 or not.

I go home now, I share my experience for admitting hospital later.

我個細仔係2個月始有濕疹, 上幾個月時天氣乾同涷時, 最嚴重...情況同你個b 一樣..
看咗私家醫生(paed+derm), 1% H OINT X 1WEEK AND EO FOR BATH.... 病情反覆..
新年前再去, 醫生留咗標本驗..結果係STE.ORIENTED, 如珀珀, 慧慧媽所說
ELOMET OINTMENT X 1 WEEK 及10天抗生素, 好番好多..
但我最近發覺可能我食D野有問題, 介牛及所以有關產品, E.G. 牛油,芝士...EGG...好似好D
BB 依個未夠五個月, 人奶及有時一日一餐的peti-junior (依隻係個醫生開的, 成份係玉米做...)
或者你先試下沖完涼後, 先搽olive oil, then put the ointment(Emulisfying, QV...) is more better

First of all, if eczema with infection, steriod is no effect or casuing more seriously. I think your pead dr may be not favour to treat eczema, you may need a professional advice from derma dr. They can distinguish between normal eczema and eczema with infection more easy.

In case, if your baby is only normal eczema, then your steriod treatment is too short. Only applying 3 days may be not enough for your baby. Once it become better after 3 days, then you stop it immediately that it will be causing the eczema more easy coming back again and again . In severe case, it can allow continous applying up to 21 days. I suggest you applying 5 days and let 2 days rest, it is save for a baby treatment.

There is other stronger steriod treatment suitable for baby, but your baby is too small and it should be prescribed only from doctor. I will not sugguest to you right now.

Anti-allergy drug (e.g. piriton) can help stopping itching and recoverly.

For the testing in hospital, there are mainly blood test, skin test and challenge (eating)test (no need to cut specimen). bloog and skin test just need about 1 to 2 hours and challenge test need hold day. They should perform after 1 year old to get more accuate result.

On the other hand, can you find any suspected allergies factor?

Anyway, I think you should stop the swelling and red first, then need tratment afterwook.

我個囝以前都是咁, 我用邊枝cream搽頭就會視乎他乾的程度,市面上有很多cream都是專給敏感bb用, 例如qv, olatum, physiogel, cetaphil...., 至於邊隻好就要你試過先知, 因不同的b對不同的cream反應都不同, 我相信有經 ...

各位媽咪, 大家好!
好耐都無向樹留言啦, 不過一直都有上來睇你地既留言架…
我個仔試左用中藥藥粉沖涼已經有兩個月,而且無食中藥, 無再搽藥膏, 濕疹有明顯改善, 所以想分享給大家,希望可以幫到各位媽咪.

我個仔就快三歲啦, 佢一出世就有濕疹, 到左歲幾兩歲好左好多, 仲以為可以斷尾啦…
點知兩歲之後又差番, 可能我同佢停左人奶啦
佢好痕, 成日都”r”, ”r”到流血出水, 晚晚都瞓唔到, 半夜痕醒兩三次, 要同佢搽cream搽藥膏, 日抖我要返工, 真係好頂唔順架
我試過一個中醫, 佢開中藥比阿仔食, 但要我繼續搽藥膏, 食左成個月藥都過無明顯改善, 所以放棄.
我個人覺得搽藥膏根本無用, 唔係治本, 越搽d皮越薄, 越容易 ”r”到出水流血
後來我搵另一個中醫, 佢唔建議小朋友食藥, 淨係比d藥粉同阿仔沖涼
初時我都係抱住試既心態, 因為個中醫無話明肯定醫好, 淨係話醫過其他比我個仔嚴重既唔再發
我個仔試左兩個月, 濕疹確實好左好多, 已經唔痕, 唔會成日都”r”, 個人都玩得開心好多, 而且仲一覺瞓到大天光, 我都有覺好瞓啦….

如各位媽咪有興趣, 我可以pm中醫資料比你, 我不是賣廣告, 只係希望可以幫到大家, 因為我都係濕疹bb既媽咪, 深深明白濕疹對小朋友及家長既折磨…

Dear bb0809,

My BB also have same case as your BB but our paed referrred us to see derma and allergist instead of admitting to the hosp. I was very worry too cause his face, arms and legs have water coming out too. Hydro 1% is too light if she have severe ecz. Our doc prescribed elomet 0.1% mix with aqueous cream or emulsifying oint. And the doc also taught me to 'WET WRAP' his whole body...(after wrapping, his body looks like a mummy). I was very upset to see him wrap up like this, but he feels comfortable and less itchy. After 2 weeks of wet wrap, his ecz was less red and swollen. He cannot scratch when wet wrap so less chance for infection and wound. For the following 4 mths, i still need to wet wrap 1-2 day/ week.

The ecz still coming back, but at least for the past 9 mths no more water and not as red as before so i stop wet wrap for 4 mths la (touchwood!! touchwood!!). I understand your feeling cause i been thru it too. Maybe you should ask your doc to refer you to see allergist to find out what's she is allergic to.
