Hi Hi Yan,
How are you?
So we do not live too far apart. I don't really know the geography about the land of USA, but I guess.. it is just about the distant between Hong Kong island to Lo Wu??
1.5 hours, so for the long weekend, we can visit each other ^o^
I work at the medical centre, on the med-surg floor, night shift.. as a full time working mom, I can't really control and teach Amanda now.. :(
Amanda is on her potty training for about 2 weeks again, this time, she even doesn't wear pull up at day nap time, kind of success, she is still working with that and she is very enjoy to go to bathroom, a funny girl.
Amanda is my only girl, she doesn't attend to day care anymore, since she has fever 105.3 F.. her paediatrician doesn't allow her to attend daycare until she is 4.. that is a pain for us.. Whatever, we do plan to send her to day care again soon.. this time, we will choose another one.

Dear all moms,
I got my permanent green card la.. can't believe that the immigration will work that fast this time. Now, I can't wait until X'mas to see my father!!! Hooray!!

Thanks for your tips. Mine is very active right now. He just keeps walking around and doesn't want to stop.. Last Sunday, he could walk over 30 mins

We were sick of chasing him all the way. Eventually, we forced him to sit back in the stroller

.. Anyway, just cross my finger

I'm going back to HK in Nov after mini-matt's 15-month shot.. Where will I stay in ? that's a good question, it depends on my husband. If he goes with, we will stay in the hotel ( should be Panda hotel because it's close to my hk place ) . If not,
I'm gonna stay in my mom's house. Well, I have to wait 'til my husband makes up his mind.

Little fat man,
It said that I need to renew the green card every 10 years, so it is good enough for me, only have to renew every 10 years.
I am going to apply the I-130 for my parents, although I know that they don't want to come at all, because my elder bro's family and my younger sister are in hk, also, they have houses in hk.. everything is in hk.. also, when they want to go to Sydney, definitely, Hong kong is much closer to Australia than New york.
I am going to ask my father to find out more info for about... Amanda applies for the Hong Kong permanent resident (ID, passport), so we do not need to apply the visa for her to go to china every time.
We can only go back to hong kong at December, what a pity that we can't meet in hk.

i also want to know if valerie can get a hkid card...can you let me know 你爸爸問成點? i have heard that there is also a baby hkid card from another baby website in hk, dont know if it is true and what it is for?

yeah.. we could definately do that, hey, how far is your place from Flushing or manhanttan chinatown, we may meet up one time.

I sent my daughter to daycare since she is 9 month old, but we are in luck that we are able to find a daycare that is so good. and vanessa love the daycare, and everymorning she go to daycare, she is saying that she go home.

I haven't really start potty train here yet, but I bought her potty and stuff. she never pee in her potty, she always go take care her business in either the toilet or her pull up. although she still wears pull up, but then at daycare her teacher say that she is doing pretty good at daycare.

what is the I130 form?

爸爸去問入境處, 啲同事話Amanda要十一歲至有得攞兒童身分證(Hong Kong ID card), 但我同肥bear有3粒星身分證, Amanda係咪都有香港居留權呢 ?-( ?-(
so,我叫爸爸再落去問(佢喺灣仔入境署樓上返Ｉ)
--> Amanda可唔可以申請HK SAR passport 做ID囉!!

Thanks for the info. how old is ur baby? my dauther is 2.5 yr old, and she go to daycare now. she is very healthy except her ezcema. she rarely got sick.

congratulations on yr newly arrival of greencard!

sorry to hear that amanda's sick w/ a high fever. 105 F is really high fever. was she having a bad flu or some kinda infection? luckily u're there to take care of her. wow ... yr pedi is really conservative - asking her to stop going to day-care just because she got sick once w/ a high fever. i think his suggestion is kinda non-practical and giving hard time to the parents if both of them go to work and nobody stays home to take care of the kid.

hope u'll find a better day-care/preschool soon!

i also expect sean to get sick more often since he started preschool last week. having mild cold is ok to me, but i'm not sure if i can handle it if he's really sick. that was just the first week ... we'll see ...

his dad said that it's better for him to start school earlier and get sick earlier, so that he'll get the immunity and not easy to get sick for the more important school years later on. his coworker regrets that he didn't send his kid go to school earlier so that he won't miss so many official school days now.

my boy is just a bit younger than yr girl. he's 2 yr and 4 mos old now and just started preschool last monday.

he also has eczema and dry skin on and off (mainly on his joint positions, hands, and feet) since he's abt a few months old. this week it's getting worse.

so, what hv u done for yr girl for her eczema problem? is her eczema more related to food allergy? hv u ever taken her to see a dermatologist or an allergy doctor? i haven't done so for my boy.
i also wanna know if there's any chinese herb remedy can help it.

btw, yr girl sounds very healthy. i think those babies who started going to day-care earlier got stronger immunity. that's true for my friends' kids who started going to day-care when they were a few months old.

我路過嫁! 點解, 我咁八卦, 因為我之前住過, keyport(NJ) 同 mountain view (ca), 所以過黎睇吓, 希望, 你唔介意啦!

如果, 你個小朋友係外國想申請hksar passport同hkid, 你要攞份oversea application既 form (問chinese embassy or hk immd. dept攞都得), 而小朋友要親自去chinese embassy 申請.
而如果, 小朋友有外國passport, 咁就申請唔到, 因為中國係單一國籍.
如果小朋友有香港birth cert. 就可以返香港申請.

immd.’s staff 唔同人講唔同嘢家, 我問過唔同人, 唔同答案, 最後, 我email 問, 我可以email info比你, 小朋友一出世就可以apply hk.id card.
如果, 你個小朋友係美國出世, 咁就要返hk住7年先有三粒星 id card

i dont think valerie or amanda can get the hksar passport coz they are borned here. usa and china do not allow 'double' nationality. i think it is good enuf to get her a hkid card, so she has the right of abode in hk, doesnt need to be 3-star luu.

我住英國嫁! 我七月幫我個囡申請hksar, 琴日, 我老公打去問, immd.嗰位先生佢一時話, 太多人申請, 一時又話, 我哋個case太complicated喎, 總之, 借口多多. 唉……………………. 我哋又申請唔到uk passport. 依家無得出國, 無得返香港lu! poor me!
