It seems reissue 227 is difficult to get, if your husband can find ANY color for 227 size, i will just buy it...

i am still looking for purple 227 if it is still available anywhere.... i got dark red 227, mobile art karl black 227, green 227 and dark silver 227 this season, these are pretty colors... navy is pretty too and easy to match with jeans and causal wear... hope u find your new love.

if it is yr 1st Chanel, get the blk/ dark sliver 227. As these 2 colour match with everything and every occasion.

BUT, as fatping said, it's really difficult to find a 227 , just grab any colour which is available.

p.s. all department stores and chanel/lv shops are closed on Sunday, u better ask yr DH to get u something b4 Sun. Good luck!!

Thanks so much for your advice. I will ask my husband to get any color of 227 Reissue then. So excited! :D

Also, I'm going to CWB later on...do you know if Chanel Lee Gardens have some displays of 227 Reissue bags where I can see the size? Because I have not seen the actual bag...just saw the bags from pictures in the internet. Are the sales in Lee Gardens ok?

I think there is black reissue 227 for display in Lee Garden... if u can't find any in Chanel, just go to any Stations in CWB and u must find a 227 somewhere...

Thanks fatping1!! I've seen the metallic reissues already yesterday in CWB. Very very nice indeed.

After trying them on, I think I'll buy the Jumbo size because it's 型 D.

I saw metallic dark brown with matte gold chain and matte gold lock...it's so nice. Do you know if this is 2008 model? The sales in those small stores said yes. That's my first choice now.

My second choice is Metallic Black with matte gold chain and matte gold lock. Do you know the exact model number of this? And is this 2008 model too?

Orgoo, to answer your question, i think the dark brown metallic is 2007 style. But I am surprised that you saw it at CWB yesterday.

I have a friend going to Paris today and I asked him to find a Dark or light silver metallic 2.55. I think it is more versatile, can use during day time or evening. I know I should get Black metallic, coz it is more practical and classic color, but I dun't like the gold chain in 2008 style. But prefer the 2007 version with silver hardware. I prefer silver hardware. I hope my friend is going find one for me la.

BTW, I recently bought a Birkin in red color. I am loving it to death.

Wow~~ you have so many reissue 227 ar

but do you think the lock is not good (I don't like the vintage effect but the sales said that is the signature of reissue)

I went to LG Chanel on last Wednesday and find out 228 is more suitable for me but they only have dark red and black and I don't like gold chain and lock (I'm prefer silver chain and lock). I also try the classic too but the size is so small. The sales said only have medium and small in this model but I saw the jumbo size in oversea magazine. I would like to know is classic have jumbo size?

Thanks for your clarification about the brown metallic 2.55 Reissue. I asked the sales and she said the model number is "08P A37591 Y04844". So I think it's the spring 2008 model.

Anyway, to update you about the 2.55 situation is Paris. My husband just went there today (went to 4 chanel shops in total), and they don't have any large (227) and jumbo size (228) 2.55 Reissues anymore. The only ones left are 2.55 small and medium sizes, and the colors are only limited like black, purple, gold. So, if you are looking for the larger sizes, most likely your friend won't be able to get one. Good luck to you la!!

Finally, my husband bought me the new design of 2.55 black reissue which is patent leather and the surface of the bag is "puzzle 壓紋" instead of the regular "diamond" 壓紋. You can see this model at the Chanel website at the "Spring and Summer 2008" section. The model number is A38186Y04904. It's like the size of the 226. I will see it tomorrow when he comes back to HK. Hope it's pretty la.

Chanel shop in HK doesn't have it yet...but I asked the price and they are selling it at HK$27,500 here. In Paris, the price is 2,100 Euro (before 12% tax refund).

That's my update for now....but I still want to buy the 228 size metallic black or metallic brown neh....

Wow thank you so much for the update. I am checking the chanel website now. I am disappointed to hear that Paris has nothing I want. I really really like the dark silver metalic color. I don;t think the 226 and 227 is that much different in size, I think just a bit smaller, right?

I see many nice and new design on the website. Got so excited. I like this one on the web "Vinyl Accordion Bag with singature diamond design quilting A38469 Y04950. Do you know if The 2008 SS collection will arrive HK anytime soon? I know 2008 SS Pre-collection is already in town...I saw most of the designs on the website in stores. But I don't think the actualy SS collection has arrived yet.

The one your husband bought for you is very nice too. The new puzzle pattern looks more cute than the diamond shape. But personally, I still prefer the metallic look. I hope you can find the back metallic in 228 la.

You can ask your friend to find the metallic dark silver in 226 size in Paris. Because my hubby concentrated to find the size 227 and 228 I want....so he might have missed out the size 226. Still, ask your friend to give it a try!! Good luck in your searching!

I went to Chanel shop at Lee Gardens this evening, and they said their Spring/Summer 2008 collection will come in any minute by batched from now till May. So, keep an eye on the new stuff!

I am still thinking, should I sell the new bag my hubby bought for me and use that money to buy a metallic 228 instead? Hmmmm.....still dunno.

What do you think?

Well, I can see that you REALLY like the black metallic 2008. How tall are you? If you are tall enough, I think the 228 would look really chic and stylish. But since the size is big, you won;t be able to use it for evening use that much. So it depends how you wish to use the bag, for casual more or evening function more. If for evening, it would be the one from Paris. The size 226 would be more versatile, for day and nite is both OK.

BUT if you ask me for my preference in terms of the style, look and feel (not the size), I still prefer the black metallic. Do you already have it on reserved for you in Prince bldg/LG? How do you plan to sell the new one? But since it is a new brand style (esp not yet arrived in HK), I think you can probably sell it at a good price. I guess you can profit from it too. It will be a win win situation. The only thing is quite "Ma Fan" to buy and sell. I guess if you want to buy the 228, you will have to do it soon since it is on reserve. If I were you, I would go tmr to Milan shop or whatever place you ahve in mind to make sure you can sell the new one for a good price, before you buy the 228.

Haha....yes I like the black metallic...but of course I prefer therustic "matte" silver lock and chain more than the vintage gold andchain. But since I don't think the rustic silver lock and chain isstill available (it's 07 Autumn's model), so I will get the blackmetallic with gold chain and lock instead.

Keke...I'm not too tall ga...I'm only 5 ft 4 in and medium size 身材.

But I really like oversized bags....I tried the 227 size before andfind it too 斯文 for me, so instead my mom bought the size 227 (my mom is5 ft. 2 in). And the size 228 looked 型 "D", that's why I decided toget the 228 size instead. I am using it as a day bag since I don't have too many evening functions.

Hmmm...I'll take your advice to sell the bag from Paris then. (But maybe my hubby will be pissed off since he walked to 3 Chanel shop in Paris and also took a taxi to another Chanel shop just to buy me a bag......and he really likes what he bought for me

) But I'll ask what Milan station will offer first. As for the 228, I have asked my brother to buy it from the airport Chanel shop since he works in the airline and he has 10% off. :D They still have stock there.

我尋晚響曼谷返黎,曼谷chanel shop有metallic green,purple,silver,gold,但purple賣晒,因為只返得一個.曼谷新機場chanel shop除左purple,其他都有賣.我仲見到有個香港阿太買左個green.如果有朋友咁啱去泰國玩,可以叫朋友幫幫手bor.

My friend just called me from paris. You are right. He can only find gold in Jumbo size 228 and purple in size 226.

Gold is not really my color. I am so disappointed. It isonly Euro 2400 before 13% tax refund. And 228 is a bit too bigfor me la. I am only 5 ft 1 inch.

Would you get it if you were me????
