Hello CHANCHANCHAN, I am so pleased to see new member like myself joining this forum.
Have you changed the nipple? it may be because the hole is too small so the baby takes so long to finish the milk. Also, everytime when I feed my baby, I will double check the cap is not too tight.
This week I am also thinking when to start to give solid food to my baby. To share with you all - based on the discussion with the doctor and by reading a few books - anytime between 4-6 mths is suggested.
To summarise, I find the following points are very important:
- start to give cereal by mixing with the formula that the baby is taking
- introduce the solid food during daytime rather than night time. In the first 2 weeks, probably 1 spoon of cereal and top up with formula
- can start to introduce fruit puree in the 3rd week
- even solid food is introduced, don't forget milk is still very important to the baby (until the baby can take other diary products like cheese) - keep to feed your baby at least 20oz per day.
happymum - can i test those food in the morning shift say 7am? I'm a working ma, i don't trust my maid to test for my baby....however, baby always drink lesser after weakup..
hey all ma(s), my bb born on 29 may, now, still upable to roll-over, evern we help him to do so, his head still not easy to lift up, is there anyone like mine? any exercise suggested?
There is no fixed rule - so I believe you can try to give the solid food to your baby in the early morning. Most important is to observe how the baby's response to the food.
I am also a working mum - so I planned to start on Sat.
btw, have any mums started to give their baby to try to drink water with the 學習杯?
