thanks for all your blessings. i also hope this time will have good result la, but dun dare to put too much hope...
well, i felt quite a bit 肚谷 but bearable. the nurse has reported to me the progress already. out of the 21 eggs, there were 18 fertilized & 15 of them are of grade 2. i dun really understand about the grading & stuff, but according to the nurse, the progress is quite ok. but i was told that the outsurface of the eggs are a bit thick, so they need to do another treatment called assisted hatching for better implantation. have already scheduled embryo transfer on fri, just hope everything will be ok.
the total fee will be around $65,000 ($45,000 for ivf (it's $3000 more expensive cos i need to do it on sun!), $5000 for injection + $15,000 for embryo transfer).
kelly, colourprinter, Naughtyluilui, liliana & other sisters,
thanks so much for the blessings. i'm really touched to receive so much encouragement from all sisters here  hope i wont let u all disappointed la!
but u know, the quantity of the eggs are not the most important, some ppl can bingo with even 1 or 2 eggs. the most difficult part is implantation, which is not much within our control... will try to drink some 花膠湯 starting fri, hope it will help.
all sisters, let's work hard together & bingo in 2007!
yes yes. i did ivf at sanatorium w/ dr philip ho. u r so knowledgeable, i'm so "mon cha cha" about the details of the treatment!
did u also do ivf w/ philip ho b4? may i know which day did u do ET? i was told that day 5 is better than day 3, dr ho explained the reason but of course i dun really understand again.
I knew all these because I was Dr. Philip Ho's patient before. I did try 3 IUIs and 1 IVF with him before. Now I am seeing another doctor.
Mostly ET would perform on Day 3 (when the embryos are developing to 4-cell/6-cell/8-cell. Why Day 5 is better? Because only very good embryos can survive and sustain to Day 5. Mostly the good quality embryos will turn to Blastocysts (a very mature stage of quality embryos, they're ready to hatch out for implantation). That's why the successful rate of Day 5 ET is higher than Day3 ET, it's simply because only very good quality embryos can wait till Day 5 ET.
