I finally abandoned my rice cooker, and use steamer and a ceramic dish to steam rice. I used this method for more than a year now. However, she still broke 2 steamers. And finally I found a metal steamer which she could not break the partitions. But she broke the switch because it is the spinning type of switch. Now, she has to use a separate timer for manually turn off the steamer and cannot depends on the switch to run the cooking time automatically.
