I have been breastfeeding my newborn baby for almost 1 month. Everything was going fine in the previous 3 weeks (on average I feed her for every 2.5 - 3 hours... & she gained weight).
This Monday, I got fever and my right breast was "hot", swelling, reddness and like a rock.
Then the O & G doc asked me to stop breastfeeding and prescribed the antibiotics to me. After taking the antibiotics, the fever is gone, the pain is gone..... but the 硬塊 is still there (situated on the upper part of my right breast .... there is one tiny one in the 乳暈 and block half of the gland of my whole breast). The midwive said the baby suction can eliminate the 硬塊. BUT it doesn't work to me.
Here is the question:
1) How can I eliminate the 硬塊 at the 乳暈?
Since I will finish my antibiotics tomorrow..... do I need to consult the doc again??? any specialist on lactation that I can consult .... pls recommend.
2) This morning, I find similar a small 硬塊 occurred at my 乳暈 (left breast)..... I am so scared that the nightmare will happen again....
I have tried to express or press it out ..... but it doesn't work.......
What should I do??
3) I really want to breastfeed my little girl as long as possible .... actually my quantity of my breastmilk is enough in the previous weeks.
BUT how can I prevent this 乳線發炎 happen again in the future.....????
Really feel helpless in the previous day...... I really don't want to give up even though it is very painful with the inflammation.
Can any experienced mom share your experience here........?
Thanks.
