My baby has passed her fist birthday already but she still cannot make sounds like "baba" or "mama". She can really understand a lot of things we say and point or act accordingly.

Can anyone tell me if it is normal?

Don't worry. Every baby is differetnt.
My son has the same problem too. And even can't walk yet...

agree
my baby says "papa" recently. but no" mama" yet. She is also not yet able to walk
