I had "無痛分娩" at private hospital and it was overall a good experience. At first, I had heard about my friends experiences in the public hospital that they did not have enough strength to push because the medicine was given after they started labour and by the time the baby was ready to come out, they had already been in pain before. But for me, the doctor ordered the epidural quite early on so that I was not in pain at all for the whole of my labour. Also, as i received a "mobile" epidural, it means that I could still walk around even though no pain. I had normal delivery, no pain at all...and very little stitches even though my baby had to be sucked out because he was facing out instead of in.
