i will bring my bb and maid to china at 9/2, so i finish the visa and 回郷証 already.
bb has to apply a 回郷証. you must go with your bb.it need 14 working day (not include public holiday).
if you go to the mongkok 中旅社, it is at 3rd floor and wait for about 3 hours.
maid has to apply a visa, need 4 working day.you can go instead of your maid, but need her sign the form.if you go to the mongkok 中旅社, it is at 2nd floor. just need about 30mins.
bb回郷証$240, maid chinese visa$210, bb回港証$130(can take within 2 hours, i apply it at lam tin)
for bb回郷証, need 2 copies of bb birth certified, 2 copies of bb 回港証, 2 copies of mother's ID card, 2 bb photos.
for bb 回港証, need 1 copy of bb birth certified, 1 copy of mother's ID card, 1 copy of marry certified, and a form sign by another person (can sign by your maid), 2 bb photos.
if you still have time, u can consider applying the hksar passport for your baby instead of the re-entry permit. In that way, you can take your bb to other countries with the passport in future.
Agree with birdbird. I'd just applied the passport & HKID for Matt. When we went to Macau, we also brought the birth certificate but the immigration just checked his ID & passport. And we are planning to apply the 回郷証 by showing the passport & ID. Everybody do not use the 回港証 now. Save money la.
Don't forget to reserve quota by reaching their website, both HK immigation and CTS. We went there on 17 Feb pm but all full already. We need to go there twice.
