Re: should i forgive him?

Kiosk,

It know it must hurt, and you must be going through very hard times. I have known people who have gone through similar situation like you do. Both couples turned to Chris, and it was a surprise to see how God worked in their hearts. Trust in the Lord, and He will lead you through.

Let God works in your marriage. The husband of the couple I know also had an affair. The wife turned to Chris first, and then started to love the husband unconditionally, which touched the husband so much. From then on, they got back together, and their marriage has been better than ever.

Invite Chris to take control of your marriage again, and you will probably be surprised when you surrender to Him. With Chris working between you two, I am sure that you will be able to overcome the hard time. How many times we have turned away from God, and how many time he still loves and accepts us. May be your relationship with your husband can be a lot better with the healing power of Chris.

I have also read a book called "How to be the wife of a Happy Husband". There are also lots of cases on how unhappy wives turn to God, who heals their relationship. Marriage is really one biggest gift that God gives us. Let Him help you and heal your heart.

The following is something I found from the Daily Bread Web site. The Bible reading is from Genesis 41:46-57. Hope it helps:

When seemingly needless suffering invades our lives, we often ask ourselves, "Who needs all this grief?" But consider, for a moment, the origin of pearls.

Each pearl is formed by an oyster's internal response to a wound caused by an irritant, such as a grain of sand. Resources of repair rush to the injured area. The final result is a lustrous pearl. Something beautiful is created that would have been impossible without the wound.

In today's Bible reading, we see Joseph in a position of influence, a position God soon used to feed surrounding nations and Joseph's family during famine. But how did he become influential? It began with a wound—being sold into slavery (Genesis 39)—which produced a pearl of usefulness. Because Joseph drew on God's resources when humiliated, he became better, not bitter. He named his second son Ephraim, which means "twice fruitful," and he said, "God has caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction" (41:52).

Author Paul E. Billheimer says of Joseph, "If human pity could have rescued him from the sad part of his life, the glorious part that followed would have been lost." So if you're suffering, remember: No wounds, no pearls! —Joanie Yoder

Re: should i forgive him?

Dear KIOSK,

It's not something about SHOULD or SHOULDN'T.

I know both decisions (to forgive or not to forgive) will be hard and painful to you. But you can choose whether to:
(1) Walk on your own way, and bear your own burdens by yourself; or to
(2) Walk on Jesus' way, bear His cross--follow what He teaches us, though it's not easy--and let Him bear yours. He invites us to learn from Him and says that His yoke is light and easy to bear.

I know He and His Words are trustworthy. A lot of witnesses do so. With God, they compose a toally unexpected ending to their heart-breaking stories.
Do you think Jesus and His words are trustworthy, too ?
(God has helped lots of couples, and He's waiting to help you, too--only if you will give Him the chance)
