1) 學費
如果你地可以成為PR身份, 你地的小朋友讀書, 政府會比資左, 但係如果你地無PR身份, 就要自己比。 我只知道childcare fees is around AUD70-AUD80 per day. (becos, I have a daughter who is now in a childcare center).
2) rental
it is depending which location and size of the house, around AUD400 something per week. (they pay per week).
3) other bills
not sure, it is depending the usage.
4) insurance
if you are not the PR, you need to have a private medical care, you can search the web of medibank for details.
if you see a doctor, the cost is around AUD50 or above and not including the medicine.

I am also holding work visa working in Sydney, my husband and I both work and we have 2 boys studying in High school and primary school.
Rent - as we live close to the train station, we pay around $2400/month for a unit, my friend rents a house in Melbourne for $1600/month
Food - $700/month
Mobile expenses for 2 /internet and home phone - $140/month
Health insurance - $470/month for the whole family
School fee - for NSW only ($250/child/month), other states such as QLD and VIC no fee required for public school, childcare fee is around $80-90 per day I think referred from other BK mum
Utilities expenses - $140/month
Transportation - elder son takes public bus, little boy walks to school, I take the train totally cost around $160/month
Car + insurance - as my husband gets a company car so it is all covered by co., I don't know how much this will cost
Coaching school (補習 for elder son in year 11) - $500/month
Having meal outside for a family of 4 like us would cost around $60 - $90
If your husband's AFTER tax income is around 8-9K should be ok. Hope this help.

How come your medical insurance is so expensive? We're paying $27x per month for the whole family.

but hillgrove & her husband doens't need to pay medicare levy which is 1.5% on taxable income. so they may pay less than what we are paying.

the price was 133/L when I filled up the tank, which was down already, for a period it was between 140-150......today I saw it was 131. what is the price in sydney recently?
Wed was 15x when we drove past the petrol station.
Unfortunately my job is in Sydney, I would like to move to Brisbane as well.
My recent weekend activity is to visit open houses, they are freaking expensive. In Epping, the average price for a house is A$800K-900K, how can one afford, crazy.

Hillgrove, now even in Tuen Mun the developers are selling new apartments at $6000-7000/sq ft la!!! If it was a house, it would be astronomical numbers, A$900K is cheap for a house!
