Please provide details for your problem. Can you access the webpage of your Panasonic IP cam? Or just no video? If you cannot access the webpage, try setting the HTTP port of your cam to 80, or 443 which office must open to provide access to internet for web browsing. If just no video, then there is little can be done.

唔好意思!

我想問下, pansonic專門店有冇得賣ip cam架?
仲想問下, 一般黎講邊個model比較好呢? 其實我想要d $1xxx左右, 又可以錄, 又可以pan, 有埋聲, 我都知我係妄想左d, $1xxx根本就買唔到pansonic, 或者只係pan同有聲都得架喇!

希望大家比d 意見我啦!

I think you'd better call the panasonic showroom and ask where you can buy their products. But if you can buy from their showroom, the price must be marked price and therefore no discount (i.e. $980 for BL-C1 instead of $6xx at shamshuipo)

For panasonic, at least $2780 (marked price) for models with audio reception. There are quite a number of models in the market that suits your requirement, such as V-gear, seteye, planet in your price range.

我上星期買咗個seteye的ip cam,就係喺你哋講個間店舖, 當時我的同事話幫我去set, 點知set咗兩晚都唔得, 咁咪打電話問佢哋, 佢哋又講到一夠雲咁, 今日找返周先生, 佢話如果依家要找佢哋上門整要$250, 個日買而要佢哋的service就$100, 有無理由呀, 我都係佢哋到買, 點解會差咁多呢???????

我也是想安裝Ip Cam的, 亦準備搵公司安裝.

但我聽講唔係個個手提電話均可睇到個Ip Cam, 是真的嗎?

若你的手提電話可以看到, 可否告知型號? 我試過自己個手提電話, 但就無法connect.

Dear RoosterMum,

I have recently bought an IP cam of HK$2,XXX and a router of HK$1xx.
The technical man from the IP cam provider teach me how to connect the router to computer and IP cam to the router and how to set up the computer, router and the IP cam.

Actually you can buy a mini note book or a mobile phone to watch your home. You can watch and listen your home more clearly through a mini notebook than a mobile phone.

Then I join a monthly package of HK$140.00 in “PEOPLE” with unlimited usage which is 2.5G.

Now I am using Mobile phone to watch my home but the effect is only acceptable and I have to reconnect around one minute if I want to continue to watch my home. This may be the limitation of mobile for too much data to handle. I think mini note book will not have this problem.

Has anyone used PDA to watch webcam? I am thinking of installing webcam and want to watch from the office, but my company has very tight IT security policy so I cannot use company's computer to watch my webcam. So I am thinking of joining People's or Sunday's unlimited GPRS package and then use PDA (bigger screen) to watch, but I am worried that it may be very slow. So I would like to see if anyone has tried this before or has any suggestions?

1. do you know if panasonxx IP cam can do the same?

2. do you know if Level One and Vivotek has any demo sites? I need to test to see if I can access the system from my office.

我想請教下點樣check公司有沒block port 80? 我想買V-gear, 公司用netvigator上網,屋企用和記電聯.
如果在公司入Demo可以睇,是否可以放心買v-gear了?

Panasonic cam only support viewing snapshot on mobile phones, not live video. For levelone and vivotek cam, you may try the following demo site from the dealer [Click Here]
The models supporting 3G are Vivotek PT/IP 7135/7137 (4 models), and LevelOne FCS-1060 / WCS-2060

To chai -

To be correct, you should check whether the incoming port 80 of your home is being blocked, and whether your office has blocked traffic to HTTP ports other than port 80. As most demo sites require access to ports other than port 80 (links with port no. in the end as shown in the link above), if you can see the demo site from your office, you should be able to watch the video when you set it up at home. However, as vgear demo site use port 80, the above assumption may not be correct for your case.

You can view your cam in the office may due to many reasons.
1. port blocked -> easy -> change to another port via your router
2. video file format -> may be the file format can't be viewed under your browser default security settings (blocked active x) -> in your browser (if it is Internet Explorer) under tools> security, copy your site address and set it as "trusted" site and go to "Customized Level to "enable" all active X related items
3. dyndns (if you use their free services) -> you can't even locate the page, this service is quite unstable, you have to logon to dyndns at home and refresh the ip (since most HK home user use boardband via PPPoE (dynamic IP, not fixed)

我剛買了部v-gear ($1600)加了個無線twins plug($600), total $2200, 現在只有主機先睇到, 因為我忘記左個router password, 所以office未可以睇住. 但都ok啦. 不過轉的速度無panasonic咁快,但個度數就多D, 同個outlook　size都幾大.我去個間shop買, 佢個售後服務好好, 我唔識打俾佢佢地好有禮貌, 又幫我set好晒先.
