Yes, I also agree that the milk feeding can be reduced when the kid is over 2 years old. 2 times per each day (one in morning and one at night) is alright.
My daughter didn't drink powder milk since Dec 2003. During this period I give her fresh milk instead. She likes drinking fresh milk very much. I have consulted the doctor about this issue. She told me that kids after 2, powder milk is not a necessity. I can give her fresh milk, cheese, soya milk, ice-cream, yogurt for her. She also said that solid food like rice, vegetable, meat and fruit are more suitable for kids.
I don't completely agree with the doctor. If your child wants to drink milk, no matter it is powdered or fresh milk, what is the point of rejecting him as milk is nutritious and delicious. We may continue to let him drink milk twice a day apart from having a normal diet. My son loves drinking milk very much. He always asks for a cup of hot milk before going to bed. :lol:
