You better take some evidences which are good for you. If you have time, you better go to the court to attend other cases, what will those maid or 工會 how to sponsor / back up them.
My friend also do it like this. not help so much, but helpful.
Must complaint to their labour head. "What kind of attitude ?" Their statement doesn't make sense. You know they have 服務承諾 . Complaint can make them work properly.
I waited for my maid's visa for 5 weeks. Then I complaint the immigration dept and they approve my maids visa on the day that I complaint. Complaint should work for all gov. dept.

Don't worry. This is the government does not work properly that give us so many troubles. You definitely can win in the case. I cannot see you will lose.
Remember the maid cursed the employer hurt her hands by iron. It may be a LIE.
Can you image, my maid damaged her own hand and complaint to the agency. She lied that her employer did not give her hand cream that caused her hand chapped. Of couse, agency called me in a tune of scolding me - I stated the fact and asked the agency to be the witness to explain the fact sheet to maid and asked all related parties to sign to confirm all agreeded on the fact sheet.
This maid left without any notice just on Sunday, the day after her day off and collected the third month salary on Saturaday. The month she left she asked me more than three times "Mum, why you are not angry ?". She really wanted to make me angry.
The fact:
(A) Employer had given maid a hand cream at night on first day of work, 12-Dec-2004. As employer asked her maid and the maid stated that she got no hand cream. However, the maid's "hand and body lotion" was found in the toilet mirror box the day after, 13-Dec-2004.
(B) In week of 15-Dec-2004, the weather was cold and dry, a pair of glove in pink was given to maid for household cleaning to protect her hands.
(C) Days after, another pair of glove in red was given to maid for dish washing.
(D) On the same day, after dinner, maid used the right hand glove only for dish washing. Employer asked why she only used one piece of glove. She looked down and wrinkled up her forehead. Employer explained to her, the glove could protect her hands and asked her to put on the left hand glove. She did not action and continued dish washing. Employer went out of the kitchen and back again to re-emphasize that the glove was for the maid's own benefit and employer could not force her to use it, which was her own decision to use it or not. The maid carried on dish washing using the right hand glove only.
You will win. Deal with the gov. - labour dept. first than the case.
