My friend told me that Feb in HK is a high peak flu season. I am off 2 weeks in Feb and want to go to HK. I have a toddler and a 7 months old baby...would that be too dangerous to go in Feb with them? My friend told me that her friend's son (5 years old) caught the "pig" flu and 肺炎 last year. Does anyone has any experience of going to HK in Feb with kid? Thanks for sharing in advance.
if you're afraid of kids getting sick, just don't go during peak of flu season or try to take the flu shots at least a month before the trip although i'm not sure if it'll help.
or try to postpone your trip to April. we'd taken our kid to HK in Apr. for a couple times and he was fine. first time when he's almost 2 and second time when he's almost 6. however, we seldom took the public transportation and we mostly stayed in suburban area in N.T. where the air quality was much better and less crowded.
If your kids are those easy to get sick type, try to avoid it. I traveled with my daughter before when she was 11 months old and 2 yrs old during winter and she was fine. But she is strong and not easy to get sick type of kid.
