We suspect that our maid like to steal things from our home, but no evidence :-|
It is because once my husband found $100 is lost from his wallet. I also have one $100 Park'n shop coupon lost almost the same time. I talked to the agent, then the agent talked to her. She was crying and told me that she did not steal anything. Ok, I told her that she must be honest to us and I gave her one more chance.
Yesterday, she told me to buy salt but I just bought a new pack last Tues. We only cooked on Tues, Wed and Fri evenings. Only 3 dinners she can use one pack of salt!! It's really impossible! I told her it's really a mystery! After that, she said no need to reimburse her $$ for the salt, because it's her mistake to use so many salt. I told her it's not her mistake to use so many salt, it's just impossible to use so many salt for 3 cookings. I finally gave her money.
To me, it's not just money but her honesty. However, from my observation so far, she takes good care of my daughter and she can follow my instructions in doing the housework.
If we have evidence that she really steals things from us, she will be fired on the spot. Hope this will never happen! :cry:
My maid also has the same problem, (though I have not discovered yet any cash being stolen), but our sugar is being consumed very quickly (I got to buy a big packet every 2 weeks), and she always claim that there's ants on food so she threw them away!
But you are more lucky, at least she treats your daughter well, my maid doesnt even know how to look after a child!
I used a lot of energy to train this maid for 3 months, because it's her first job. Finally, when I gave her 4th salary, I can praise her for her work. Then we discover the lost of money after one week...
I think she's not as innocent as we once thought! I'm going to give her her 5th salary soon. I really don't know what to say to her this time...
