My girl did that a few times. Kids are just curious of what will happen when they pour out the water and test your response.
I just remain calm but say firmly: \"don\'t pour water on the floor\". Then I show her she can do the same only inside her bath tub. I ask her to help clean up the water (doesn\'t need to do it perfectly, just so that she knows mess needs to be cleaned up).
Patience! I think teaching it patiently and repeatedly is the way.
Turning on the TV but expecting the kids not watching is not realistic. Not practical for adults, neither. We simply choose not to watch TV for the benefit of our baby as we don\'t think it does any good to it.
Yes patience, patience. Takes many tries to finally get your message into their brains.
If they think the remote is a toy, I give then a blank one (no battery) for fun, and hide away the real one. But my girl doesn\'t watch TV so she thinks a remote is a telephone and puts it to her ear :)
