I know it's very fustrated. My BB also experienced the same before when he was 3.5 month. He also woke up every 1-2 hours and cried like having nightmares. We also don't know why but we stopped playing flashcard with him during the day then we went back to normal. I think may be he get too stimilated by the flashcards. May be you can try keeping him calm and prevent him from getting too excited during the day. Hope this will help.
