Don't worry too much. My son had the vaccination last month in Health Center. The nurse said he would have fever after 5-12 days and have rash after two weeks. However, my son had no both. You can give him some soup like carrot+sugan cane+ water chestnut for few days before and after vaccination. It's quite work. Remember to let him sleep much, drink much water and don't bring him into crowd within two weeks.
My daughter had the vaccination last month in private clinic and she did not too. In fact, she did not realise a bit. It also cost $260. May be we visit the same doctor.
The vaccination for your one yr old baby is MMR (measles/mumps/rubella) vaccine. It is not the same vaccine as the one your baby previously injected (those are hepatitis B vaccine and 3 in 1 or 5 in 1in private doctor). Hence, your baby will not have the same response as previously. Malaise, fever or a rash may occur following the first dose of MMR vaccine, most commonly about a wk after immunisation and lasting about 2 to 3 days. My baby has no fever or anything at all though.
For MMR vaccine, I do not recommend you to have the vaccination in private practitioner simply thinking the vaccine is better there because the MMR vaccine from MCH is already the drug of origin and not generic. Hence, there will be no difference in terms of the vaccine itself.
The only thing you may need to watch out is making sure your baby had egg (both egg white and egg yolk) before and has no history of anaphylactic reaction subsequent of egg ingestion. This is because the MMR vaccine is produced in chick embryo cell culture.
I hope the above information helps. Personally I do not recommend you to take any herbal before the vaccination because you never know what is in the herbal.
