Geni,
A friend of mine who is a nurse at the clinic told me that the more frequent you breastfeed your baby the quicker the level of 'yellow bile' will be lowered. It is because the baby can expel it through their faeces. So, don't give up breastfeeding. At the beginning, it may go up a little bit. But, don't worry. Keep on breastfeeding.
I've been breastfeeding my boy for nearly 5 months til now. I started doing so when he's 3 days old.

I had the same case as you before. you know, my son has
" newborn jaundice" from newborn to 1.1/2 months,
at that time, i was so nervous and cried a lot,
the private doctor asked me to stop BF for three days,
so at the beginning, my milk supply was not good because
of adding formular and stopping BF for a while.
anyway, as FlorashleyTim said, you should BF him as
frequent as possible, provided that your baby's liver
is okay, and not due to G6pD, it is fine. don't worry.
also, you can take him to have more sunshine in the morning,
the " yellow ' will be gone very fast.
