I went to Korea in Xmas last year. Temperature was around 5-10 degrees. Tour guide said Korea is colder than Tokyo but I haven't been to JP in Xmas so can't compare.

Xmas as my son's school has changed the schedule and will have test after Xmas/New Year holiday. Too bad.
Overall I was satisfied with my trip to Korea last year. I joined EGL 5-day Phoenix Ski Resort trip. The tour guides' service was good. She provided a lot of useful information on the bus. She did sell some souveniors but was not pushy. However the Korean food was just so-so and the people there(especially men) was very rude. But the tour cost is much cheaper than going to Japan so you have to bear with it.
