Cats will keep doing the same thing at the same place so if the black cat has gotten used to come to your garden to poo...there is nothing you can do. Even if you manage to stop it from doing so whenever you see it they can still do it during the night or when you're not around ~ but it is not really a big issue. We have seen foxes and hedgehogs strolling in our garden as well!!!
My neighbours (from a few streets behind!) have a few cats and I'm sure they use our garden as toilets as we don't go into the garden much. One of them is so daring that when it sees us at the patio door looking, it even comes close to us and starts talking to us!

,我親眼見過2次la,係隻黑貓,我哋都吾知点做好
gum上星期六,我哋shopping 完,見到有隻黑貓经過我哋屋企附近
米諗住趕佢走,点知有个鬼婆係窗口見到,佢吾知頭吾知路,
係窗口到lau我哋

ps.我哋無打隻貓,只係用手勢作趕走动作
我哋無理佢,廢事走去佢屋企解釋,解釋完又点ar
平時feel 到吾钟意我哋2個中國人住係到.....

I think it is easier to start a conversation when mums have kids of similar age. I would feel even more embarassing to start talking to people in the supermarket or at bus-stops... Just start by saying hello & bye to those kids' mums if you see you kids talking to theirs and start asking little questions when there are any notice/announcements from schools...English like to talk about weather all the time...

Hello pingmum,

I am new to UK, too. I live in Herts, south-east of England. It is a very quiet village live, my social life is zero. My kids go to primary school here, and I do get to meet other parents, but only say hi and bye, don't know what else to talk about, they are pretty much white and local. The quality of living is actually very good, better than Hong Kong, and my kids are loving the space they have, so does my husband. I am the only one who complaints. I go to central london once or twice a week to walk around when my kids at school.
