The Tomy Bertie comes in a box, 1st time I saw Bertie in that packing.
Not sure about which Tomy Thomases speaks Jap - I know there is an Alpha-series which should, but this Bertie is NOT marked as alpha series, so I don't know.

Re: Tomy Thomas book, actually it's not really a book but just book-like toy with battery. Size as large as F4. When you open it, there's a train station and little house for engines with tracks drawn on it. You may push the engine along the track, and it will say Jap when passing through the station la.

Once I saw it at Sogo, around $1XX. I bought it a year ago at the toy fair at $99.
