hi everybody,

你地開始 steam 奶瓶未呀, 我買左 Avent sterilzer machine, 咁西田個 sales 話要試下 work 唔 work, 唔 work 可以返去換, 咁我就試下啦, 咁都沒有問題, 但我想問大家, steam 完 D 奶瓶, 你地放係邊呀, 因為 steam 完後, 有好多水珠係奶瓶裹面, 咁係咪直接放係雪櫃呀, 定係唔駛雪呢 (因為仲有兩個月阿 B 先出世, 咁同 d 水珠一齊係奶瓶裹面有沒有問題呢, 會唔會發毛呀)

When I had my first baby, we bought a small dish dryer just to store his bottles and utensils. But some people also recommend putting the sterilised bottles in a ziplock bag and store in the fridge.

hi ester,

yes, according to the brochure of Union hospital package... husband can accompanyhis wife during delivery... but I don't know ehether it'll also true if you don;t choose their package??? maybe they need additional charge ???

For me, I'll try normal delivery of coz... easy to recover maaa... :-P but in case if my baby is too large in size... ... I'll then choose C-section so that baby will not lack of oxygen during delivery.

I've asked Union hospital before and the nurse said you can choose whether you join their package or not when u've admitted in the hospital...

My case doctor is Mr. Ares Leung, my 姑奶 highly recommend him to me coz he was very experienced and her 2 babies were delivered by him.

Hi all

想問你地去私家做檢查, 仲會唔會返工?? 我之前都係唔會返, 剛對上一次無同老闆講去檢查(但有同另一個高層講), 老闆個日搵我唔到就同另一個同事講咩做檢查要成日咩……!

咁琴日我响電話同佢講我明天(今日)要去做檢查, 佢都無野, 但隔一陣打比我問我做檢查幾耐, 我話起碼要半日, 有時等成2-3小時架! 佢就話點解預約咗都要等咁耐, 我話有時d人要睇成幾個字, 係要等架! 限住佢up左一埋癈話…, 咁我咪話我有醫生紙攞番, 佢就話唔係話你去玩, 不過橫掂你去到醫生到要等, 不如ngan些去, 唔洗side你時間又side我時間…因為有urgent野要我幫手(講到好緊要)。 咁我考慮之後, 見佢話係urgent就答應佢上午返工, 點知佢咁死黑人僧, 十點至sent份野比我打(打完再fax比呀A君睇左先), 但個份野唔使十分鐘就做好, 仲要果個A君都未返自己公司, 我基本上做完十分鐘野就坐到而家!

真係好嬲 (因為其實個份野唔係公司野又唔係佢私人野, 總之係有另一個人負責做, 果個人唔係出我地公司糧但返我地寫字樓, 成日遲到返到來又恰眼瞓個隻, 老闆仲要買佢怕 ~ 兩個都變態), 仲之我係幫人做埋野!

其他同事都話根本老闆係唔底得我檢查放一日假! 好激氣呀! 我下次檢查都唔返工!

Don't be upset with the "un-related" people, not worth.

For me, my private doctor always gives me "1-whole-day" sick leave, so, I always take the whole day off. For public hospital, although they only grant half-a-day, I will also take the whole day off, as I need to go back home and take shower...

I agree with you that if we have the official sick leave proof, don't need to worry how other people think, they will never understand how tired we will be to go here and there.

I read some other BK messages earlier that those mums will put the bottles into a plastic lunch box and put it into the fridge. However, since we still have 1-2 months, you don't need to do this until the week you give birth. Just steam the bottles 2-3 times when you have time these 2 months, then, store it, and ask your husband to re-steam it the day before you discharge from the hospital after giving birth.

The effect of the sterilization lasts for only 24 hours in fridge, so, even you put the bottles into fridge, you need to re-steam it every day if you do not use it.

For the water droplets, don't need to worry about them as they are boiled water. The BK mums said they just put the bottles into the box and fridge after they get cold (with the water droplets), when they need to use the bottles, they will "Long" the bottles with hot water before using them, so, the water droplets will be removed. Since you will need to re-steam the bottles once a day, so, they will not have "mould".

I asked my friend to ask Dr. Tsang this same question, and Dr. Tsang said it is OK and will not mind. Actually, lots of BK mums did this also.

唔好咁嬲啦，快d順番條氣。

其實好多公司既老細都係有d變態，例如我老闆都係，之前我未有bb，有時去睇醫生﹝我公司有“睇醫生時間”，限定兩個鐘，如果超過，要請病假﹞，佢都會黑埋塊面，有時d同事放病假，佢又會同我講點解要放病假，話人地詐病，所以我以前有病死都死番公司架，費事比佢話。到咗而家，為免佢黑口黑面，我都係臨放工個兩個鐘到攞“睇醫生時間”，之後攞張到診紙番公司claim“睇醫生時間”咋。

不過，算啦，到時我地放十個星期假，佢就實無得話，咪等佢嬲死佢攞。

Hi AJ,

I've similar experience with you... but those 唔底得 are not my boss, they're those 八婆 in my company... :-x :-x :-x I'd mentioned earlier of what they did on me... they said and so...

Therefore, even when my appointment in QE is 10:30am... and I need to go there by 10am or something... I still back to office first to let them know I've been back... although it's very silly to do so since I'll leave the office in half an hour later, still I think it can help to stop their mouths loh! Sometimes when they 'realise' I leave for prenatal check... they'll say 'you're going to prenatal check right? see ur tummy is so big... :-( :-( these 'rubbish talk'... and I'll then be back during lunch hour.

Don't be angry la... it happens in every office or places... the most important thing is to keep yourself and your baby happy...

thanks...

I've contacted Dr Yu yesterday and asked him who will be his back up doctor in case if I'll deliver during his holiday... he said either Dr Ares Leung (Leung Kwok Ling ) or Dr Sin Sai Yuen...

Then my husband asked him whether or not we need to visit him once... and he said it's okay but further he said he'll be only on leave for a few days and suppose there'll be no problem on me... really? I'm be so glad if my baby inside follows his said... and in case I need C-section, he'll do it for me before he leaves.

If Dr Ares Leung is good... I'll be much relieved... coz whoever he chooses for me, I've more confident on his back up doctor.

The method of keeping in fridge is taught by the mid-wives from hospitals. Maybe you can ask the nurse in your next PWH check-up, I guess they will teach the same thing.

Don't worried la. Dr. Leung said that the doctors in his clinic worked like a team. If any dr. needs help or have vacation, the drs. in the team will be back up.

I have the checking yesterday, dr. said BB is now around 4 lbs. and everything OK. But her 肚 不夠圓, need to eat more meat. He said I can eat more meat coz it is good for BB, not eat too much 澱粉質 coz it will gain weight on mama.
