DD is not troublesome. Last time, the hurdles were arising from my indication of 'COD' whilst I thought I could still pay by paypal. But DD told me that once I had indicated COD, I had to pay courier the cash (eithe RMB or HK$) upon receipt. They would refund the paypal amt later. Now, it has taken more than 1 mth. I still have not got back my RMB1000+ refund.

FX, any suggestion? How to get that back? I chase for many times by email. But they usually lost 'shadows' altogether after a few exchanges.

To all BkPpl friends,

Good news :

I think the entire lot for June has arrived !
Total size approx 3'x4'x3', total weight est 100kg.

My cousin

me, said how come I ordered such a lot, will never be able to finish all of them, and warned that shipping costs are high. Also that according to his experience, collection in HK should be around HK$1500 est.

The goods arrived : 1st only a small pack, the next day 2 more larger packs, the next day 5 more, the next day several more not sure of exact no. The last pack arrived 2 days ago. Some of the packs were quite heavy and even the boxes were torn / broken. Everything is now in the warehouse.

Told him that there would be 2 more packs in July : again a small pack, and another larger pack.

2 ways now : either to wait for July packs then send everything in 1 go, or to ship what there is now then ship again in July. He also has to consider how best to pack them, because all paper, ==> vvv heavy. And there is a min charge on freight, so might be better to wait then send in 1 shipment. But then has to

how to send the large heavy box off.
And now everybody is engrossed in World Cup, nobody going to work, then July - Aug summer hols everybody goes on holdiay.
So he has to think about it, consider what would be the best way to send off.

Anyway, I said I leave it (shipping) all to him, even if shipping cost is 60% of book costs it would still be cheaper than buying in HK.
And we will sort out how to collect the packet once it arrives in HK, no worry, worry is on us. (Will try to ask around to see if anybody / firm around to do it, arrange the entire shipment to be sent to my office. Any experience / idea / connections ?)

I just take a look for the letterland handbook at the training ctr. And find that Programme 3 is quite good for learn blending and teach some rules of phonics such as:

When two vowel goes walking, the first one keep talking and the second one keep scient and introduce scient e. etc.

Anyone knows other than Letterland, any others books/ websites can introduce this kind of Phonics rules. As i plan to buy the Letterland Handbook but it is quite expensive around $300 plus, but i can't find at public library .

Take a look at "Between The Lions" vcds.
Total 5 vcds, in HK released through Innoform.

There is a website too, need to dig out for you.
Your quoted rule is one of the rock n roll songs available for free from the website.

Some may dislike this series because of the noisy songs, exaggerated expressions of the lion cub puppets, etc.
Piglet watched these non-stop when he was about 4y, and would dance his own dance to the r&r.

Between the Lions was also shown on TV as kids show about 3y ago.

My cousin, (cousin not friend ah) I think, is a "merchant" who re-sells comp hardware / gadgets, and he has an office and a warehouse somewhere in Herts (??) which should be quite near London.
The books that have arrived are in packs I think, and he just dumped everything in the warehouse first.
About 90% of what we wanted has arrived.
If ship now, has manpower, but may need to pay for another shipment in July or later (the remaining 10% to be ordered in July to make max use of all book points), but min charge has to be paid twice.
If ship later, less manpower, but only one shipment.
Common problem : Need to find a box / container to hold ALL the books - heavy items because all paper.

If it were a friend, I think after this order 無朋友做!

But a cousin will

Just noticed a bookshop (actually it's a warehouse) located at Kwun Tong, selling US & UK books at 50% off (not Kiss my kids wor), major UK books.

Lots of Usborne reader, Usborne picture books and some Usborne phonic books can be found, all $25~$30. If you've missed the purchase at bkppl, here is an alternative. Also found some Hennaman science books at $20.

Kumon and other exercies book also sold at 50% off, avg $2x/book after discount.

Some mathstart and let's read and find out science at $20.
