happy to know that your maid will come and work in your home very soon... but as your delivery date is near... 23/7 right? only 2 weeks to go b4 your delivery date... do urge your maid agency to do all the necessary documentation for your maid to come coz they need to do something in Indonesia b4 they can work outside the country...

Mine one will back to HK this Saturday... I and my hubby both feel abit 'lost' coz we'll start to learn to live in another stage of life... with the maid and very soon with our little baby...

I've gone to another antenatal visit last Saturday and my baby gained another 1 pound over these two weeks... now comes to 5.5 pounds in week 32... still my doctor said my bb's head is much larger than average, the abdonminal circumference and BPD is also on large size... so he said next time (two weeks later) he will do a pelvis exam... (what's this?) for me and check whether I can deliver my baby by my own??? or need to have a C-section?

Seemingly he wants me to have normal delivery if I can coz every time I said C-section, he always said I should wait till late July or early August and see how large my baby is... I don't know la. For the public hospital regular visit, since the public doctor always gives two extra weeks for my pregnancy period and which comes to week 34 instead... he said my baby is on normal size... and need to do so 'secretion' examination next time??? and do u know what's abt?

Time flies like arrows... I need to say 'bye bye' to my tummy few weeks later which I like it very much indeed... coz I feel very warm and happy so far (except my colleagues' behaviour!) anyway, we'll become mums one by one very soon...

I will double-check with the maid agency today whether they have sent the visa to Indonesia or not.

pelvis exam = 度盤骨, to check whether your 盤骨 is big enough for the BB to go through. This exam is usually done at around 36w, and only people who want to try natural delivery need to take this exam.

'secretion' examination = 驗下體分泌, also only for natural delivery. Since BB needs to go through the 陰道 for natural delivery, and the 陰道 may have some virus that will affect the BB and its skin, so, before natural delivery, the doctor will check whether your 陰道 has any kind of virus or not, if so, he will determine whether the virus is harmful or not, whether you need medicine before/after the delivery, and whether BB needs special treatment or not.

Another question about the maid, how long did it take you to have the maid flying to HK after you sent the visa to her? Also, how/when to arrange body check for her? Thanks.

FYI, this is a list of questions that I asked my doctor at my 36w visit... maybe of useful for you:

(1)問胎盤有冇老化 -- this will affect bb's growth
(2)BB Weight -- this is my usual question
(3)有冇掉頭
(4)bb臍帶位置，有無纏頸？
(5)盤骨夠唔夠大自然生
(6)bb個頭已入盤骨未？落o左幾多？2/3 or 1/2 or 1/3??
(7)估計bb大概幾時出世e.g. within 1/2/3 weeks?
(8)胎水是否適中/過多/過少?
(9)bb心跳幾多？
(10)Will he check for BB? Do I need to find another 兒科醫生 or he will refer one for me? Will that 兒科醫生 go to the hospital that I choose?

Did I miss anything?

my maid was working in HK b4 she went back to filippine last month and so she got the VISA already in HK b4 she went back to her home.

My friend said it took not long for the maid agency to send the VISA to the maid (by express mail)... but the thing to remind you is there's a compulsory agent in Indonesia to control all the maids to work outside the country and that's may delay the time for her to back to HK... since maybe some procedures she needs to follow...

For medical check, my friend said I can call her for booking a medical check when my maid arrives HK this week ... preferably when she first arrives in HK (coz when she arrives HK, you've full responsibility to take care of safety... for her) the doctor is in Mongkok which is convenient to go...

If you want to know more abt this, I'll keep you inform ...

我個印印昨日到我屋企, 佢既 cooking skill 完全唔掂, 攪到我只係食左半碗飯, 到10點幾已經好肚餓, 今朝早餐食通粉, 我諗都唔駛教啦, 點知好淡,

, 不過都算食得落肚......

我選佢係因為佢以前係 singapore 做過3年, 有 new born 經驗, 話佢識 cooking, 同 cantonese , 點知 cooking 唔掂, cantonese 一D 都唔掂, 只係識單字, :-x 我諗佢都唔知識唔識照顧我阿 B.... d agent 騙人呀

我奶奶諗住黎教佢, 佢唔識講 cantonese, 咁要我 translate, 本身我日日放工睡下 ma, 我諗唔好話睡, 連休息都無, 我昨晚睡得5個鐘....

好慘呀, 而家好倦, 仲要做到 5:30pm.....

好彩我早一個月叫佢黎, 如果唔係, 仲慘....

所以 nn, paulina, 我諗你都係快 d 安排你地個工人快 d 黎好 d, 真係咩都要教佢, 只意佢地自己黎, 蛇都死

forget it la... the cooking skills for maids are so so... my friend tells me that to give her a programme of what she needs to do... like... Saturday-> in-depth cleaning of the kitchen... Friday afternoon-> clean the car, every day she needs to clean the toilets and kitchen ... clean the floor, how long she needs to clean the windows/ replace the bedsheets... etc...

For cooking, I'll depend on my mum coz my maid knows Cantonese but she can't speak...she originally works in my friend's home for two years and I think she is capable to work in HK gua???

anyway, I'll closely monitor her work and schedule... but now is busy in putting all my personal things (certs/accessories... to the lockable drawer... coz my friend tells me not to let her know abt your personal information especially your salary!!!)

I'll start to do a 'simple' schedule and let her knows what I want to do (at least b4 my baby gives birth... like washing his baby clothes, boiling the milk bottles/ plastic nipples... clean the baby bed and accessories... clean the new wardrobe for baby and to put all the things inside it...)

and tell her abt my daily schedule...

hope I can save more time la.
