paulina,
For the insurance, is it a common practice to buy the insurance before the maid arrives HK or buy the insurance once she arrives? There are a few questions on the application form that need the maid to answer bor...
FYI, my sister likes to ask the maid to go to supermarket for buying things as there are official receipts. If they buy things from the wet market, some of them might "Da Fu Tou".
for the form recommended by my friend, there's no questions she needs to answer... and the insurance company needs 14 days to make the insurance policy effective, so my friend suggests me to buy insurance abit early loh COZ once she arrives HK, it's your responsibility to her safety!!!
U're right ahhh, my colleagues also said this to me... and so I'm thinking of buying vegetables from the wet market by my own (once a week)... and only give her pattycash for buying a fish/ beancurd... from the market if we want to eat that night loh...
for supermarket, they said their practice is to buy for their own... coz there's delivery service offered BUT of coz in case there's suddenly lack of soya bean source... she needs to buy one new la.
SO.... I think to give her $300 and see what kind of things she buy la.

For example, the form from Dai Sun Bank has a section for "health condition of the domestic helper", which includes:
- is she receiving any medical attention or surgical treatment or taking any medicine?
- has she been confined in a hospital for surgery or treatment from an accident in the past 3 years?
- has she ever been refused by accident insurance or subjected to special terms and conditions?
好緊張呀!! Many of us have passed the 37w milestone... we could give birth any time from now...
vic-wing, 龍婆, others who will have c-section in July,
Have you started the maternity leave? Any special things we need to do for this remaining week? I want to double check whether I have missed anything...

ssassa,
I also plan to stay 5日4夜 but my doctor said for 1st pregnancy, joining package will be more convenient... am still thinking.
Question - if I do not join package, will the nurse help to take photo and give me the Baptist's standard BB's 1st album? My sister gave birth twice in Baptist, she joined package and there was a lovely album which the photos were taken very nicely (heard people saying that it is very hard to capture the pretty face in the 1st day by ourselves...). I am worried if I do not join package, there will be no such album...
For 兒科醫生, since I want to stick to one who I will go regularly after discharge from hospital, so, I will prefer someone who has clinic outside. My friend referred 尹錦明 to me, this doctor was PWH and Baptist 兒科醫生 before he opened his own clinic. Found some good comments about this doctor in BK, so, I think I will choose him.
ssassa,
Can you send me the 浸會 telephone no., I want to ask the question about the BB's album... whether I can order this service without joining the package.
