i repeat my advice re buying ORT here la:

For those moms craving for ORT:

1. I have asked popular to carry in ORT to their store as there is demand from HK moms.
2. They don't carry in the ORT coz it is very expensive acc. to Spore stds.

3. If any of you want to get the member discount, you could do the application on line at www.popular.com.sg and pay S$30. Of course, you need to cal the worthiness of doing so if you are not buying alot

4. What popular can do are (a) place orders w/ the Australia supplier; (b) you must pre-pay as they could not return any items not eventually taken by the client; and, (c) once obtained from Aussi supplier (taking around 2 weeks from us to Spore), send them to you on your instruction. Postal rate is (acc to Spore post office) a max of 30 kg at S$70.5 by surface mail.

5. alternatively, if you plan to visit spore, simply order and pay say 2-3 weeks b4 your trip, so that you can collect the books and save the postal tim.

you can contact this email a/c [email protected] (attn: mr yap). re discount rate, you have to be a member. register on line as member but at a S$30 fee.

It is the Popular at ORCHARD MRT.

1 more point. They don't have full set. They just happened to have all those I don't have. I have to wait till may be early Oct (delivery to Spore) then probably late Oct or Nov until they arrive at HK by surface mail.

Maybe when you go, kino will have replenished the stock.

Seems everyone is very eager to get full set ORT wor.....

I went to St. Paul Co-ed open day this afternoon, and found some of the 2nd hand ORT sold there @$10/book only. I saw books from Stage 2 to 5, but not complete la.

Some of the books are contributed by parents and some of them are from the school library. I bought several 2nd hand Chin/Eng readers (@$10) and ladybird books (@$5) at the playground of the Mcdonald Road school, they looked as-new in mint condition!!
