And homework is very time consuming, mostly because he wastes too much time on play and chit-chat.
Really need to

him once to 3 times a day.
And too little sleep

both for him and for me, need to get him out of bed vvv early , feed him a sip of water + a cup of milk, brush his teeth, take temp. The rest done by maid / my hubby.
Bedtime usually 11pm+, wake up at 6:45am.

The school is full-day school, around 8:15 am - 3:30 pm. My son takes school bus, pick up at 7:23 am, returns home by 4:30 pm.

Personally I prefer whole day school. If half day school and the kid is NOT self-disciplined, like mine, then it'll be worse than full day school.
At least teachers will "look after" him at school, cannot 搗蛋。

btw, my son takes relatively short time to do his homework, not only because he has fewer homework at do at his level, but he used to finish them in a "母也西"(i.e. 求其) way!!

No need to be scared now. You still have 2 more y to train him up.
Some schools won't tolerate sloppy homework, e.g. DGJS. Everything has to be clean and tidy, otherwise need to do correction = more homework.
Once your son sees how his competitors perform, and knows what his teachers expect, he will cope with things his way.

I have successfully bid the ORTRAH series at ebay at GBP28.11 (including surface mail postage -GBP7.11). The price was not too bad, right?

Yes, I bought the series from another seller. In fact, there are many sellers at ebay and as Kitty said that the bidding activities is so active. I agreed that I will be :-( :-( when I start buying the ORT.
