Hihi...mummies here,

Oh, my~~ I had just passed two terrible weeks! You know, my daugther has suffered from flu and the viruse went down to the digestive system making her vomit and diarrhoea. She even got fever on and off. I've been visited doctors three times in a week. Me? I got heyfever and flu as well...the bone was pain but still have to take care Allie. What a mess!

Luckily, hard time goes~~~ Allie and I return to be energetic..haha.....

How about you (BK mamies)? everything alright? Sorry that my dial up makes me not able to access BK frequently, hope that i won't miss too much~~~

Hi Sydney mum,

I am busy these few weeks as my maid left and I take care of two children. I am so happy that I will come to oz in Nov. Hopes to join your gathering soon. May I ask any mom is christain? I am now attend in Baptish Church and hopes to find a sutiable church there. Not so tradition, love to pray and worship. Any suggestion?

Little_A, Did Allie lost weight? I think you must be very worry. But you passed the hard time, take care!

Looking forward to meeting you. You must be very excited and counting down the days.

I am attending the service in a Anglican church in Hurstville (not as traditional as the Anglican in HK), and tried the Baptish church in Riverwood. May I know:

a) where will you leave
b) do you prefer a church near your home (this is very important for me since I don't have driving license and a car at the beginning)
c) which lauguage do you prefer

Then I can ask around and locate some good church for you.

My family will go to Sydney in Jan 08 and we will stay at Chatswood/Lindfield. Are there place is good? I have a 3 yrs daugther. Is she need to go to kindergarten or playgroup in Sydney. I hear that 4 yrs old should go to school. Is that true ? I have no idea to find a good kindergarten. Anyone can help me?

Thanks for your reply. We will live in Eastwood, prefer cantonese. Distance is so important but may not too far away. We just asked my relative and they are going to CABC, We maybe can goto visit after we arrived.

I am now busy for packing. Feel very headache when facing so many stuff but exciting to count down.

Hey gal, you should ask me as I rebase in Hong Kong now. I can be your tour guide and am sure my boys could be able to be the entertainment ambassdor (7 and 4 yrs old boys) to little Jayden.

Since Fate will be in HK too, not sure any days could made the 2 families meet, it's excited to see you guys.

Hi sydney mummies,

I arrived to Sydney last week. Last week I am very busy to find a living place, apply medicare etc. Next week I will start to find a childcare for my little son. My two boys like here very much. I think the environment and education are definitely good for children. Hopes can see you soon in next garthing. Christmas is coming, hopes all of you can have a nice holiday!

This forum is very quiet recently since I know some parents are out for holiday during summer. I will have lunch with ngmammy in Feb when she is back. Maybe you can join too.

To all Sydney mums,

Hello! I am new in this topic and nice to meet you all.

My husband, I and my 7 years old daughter will go to Sydney and live in Padstow, I would like to know is there any good private school or public school in Padstow or nearby? Is it easy to enrol her into a good school? I just concern she may not get used to as she loves her school very much in hk.

Also, how about the job market in Sydney now??? Is it easy to find works?

What is OC class? Selective schools = such like Marymount and Maryknoll in hk which are public but a lot of people like to choose? But why don't expect too much for public schools, if the selective schools are also public schools, they all well-known and good enough.

Also, can you recommend any private school for girls?

Ths for your reply! I got some ideas now, selective school is for high school only. So do you mean all the primary school is quite similar in au? and should better to choose the one which is closest to home?

As I read from the other topics, your daughter is studying in St.Paul Convent, did she get used to live in au and what year she is attending now?
