Yes, K2. I think he knows many vocabs by sound and he reads with his knowledge of phonics. I don't train him on vocab. He just learns new ones (which I explain the meanings to him) through reading. His school tells ORT level 2 stories only at story time. The only training is 'Read Read Read'!! Make June love reading la.

Miss u much woh ! How are you getting on ? eveything o.k., hope Bee will have a sister.

Agree reading is v good. Noticed from my girl's composition, I was quite shocked that she has used some vocab which should not be at her level and she told me that she learnt if from reading the chapters books woh. So I won't mind spending $$$$ on buying books.

Well, piglet learns vocab thru Lego catalogues, Bioniclse and Exoforce books, and Daily 7.......

Hello, I miss buddies here too. Only that I was too tired and unwell to join the chat during the first Trimester.

I think R is a very smart girl with high talent in music (inheriated from you and your hubby I believe). Good that buddies here share some approach in teaching kids - promoting a love of reading!!

I am okay now. The bb is moving a lot in my tummy. I hope it is a girl too. For selfish reasons, I wish to have a girl indeed. Good that Bee also prefers a sister than a brother.
Does R ask for sibling? She is kind of like having siblings. She looks like 'Ga Tse Chai'. : )

Today is the last day of exams for piglet.

Already deep in World War IV with grandma.

And summer hols hasn't even started.
Wonder how we can survive the long summer hols.

Dear all,
I must say we have similar wavelength in this thread. Like BS, I also subscribed to NG directly thru internet for my son (7yo) but I found the magazine was more appealing for slightly older kids. The presentation is very busy! Daily 7 is good but not good as far as value for money goes!

My boy & little girl are 3.5years apart. It's really the best decision my hubby & I made. It's so much fun to watch our kids play together, though we are constantly subject to severe noise pollution at home.

Have a great trip! I want to go to Aust as well but I choose to go towards Dec / Jan - very $$$. Do keep the travel maps & goodies for me if u don't mind! Did u get Virgin Atlantic's 2-for-1 air tickets?

The box is sooooo big,
bigger than what I expected.

My Ldn cousin and family came to HK in Easter
and visited my mum.
My mum told them that piglet was learning to write,
(actually he was doing OT writing and drawing)
and complained that it costs $60@ session.
So my cousin said, O no need to learn writing at $60@,
and undertook to mail piglet some material.

We got it today :
3 sets of Nursery writing material of abc and easy words !!
So low-B.

Do you know where i can get some comic English book??
my son likes comic very much recently. I brought him to Page One but the books are tooooo expensive. $100+ for the Mavel's comic book. Wanna i can find some cheaper sources.............

Thanks for your recommendation for the comic's books. It is really useful. i bought some 老天子, 黑貓白貓.....
he can't stop to laugh. But it is Chinese, he don't really understand. So i better buy some English one.
