I also had that problem before. Cause yahoo messenger can't drop the line automatically on the other side (your home). Now I changed to use another software "Eyeball Chat". It is a freeware. You can download it from their website. It runs smoothly from now on. It won't have that problem.
Can you also PM to me. I still cannot re-set the Veo since I change using Netvigator instead of i-cable. Do I need to change into 8181 as said by previous mummy. I already apply a DNS and it still can't work. Thanks for your help.
[size=small]Dear YY-Mummy,
The set up of the router for Netvigator and I-cable is different. I talked to another mummy and she also has the problem with Netvigator. I already suggested her contacting 燁峰豆豆, since he is using Netvigator and he may know more about the set up with Netvigator.
Besides, different routers have different set-up. Are you using the router given to you by Netvigator? Veo has different set up instructions for different brands of routers. I am using 3Com. It seems that Veo does not have any set up instructions about the router supplied by Netvigator. In that case, you may consider changing the router. Just like 燁峰豆豆, he is using Netvigator but another brand of router.
You also need to forward the port no. (80 or 81 or 82 ....) to the router (or from the router?.. I don't remember .. this should also be in the instructions).
Another thing, you need to keep the router ON all the time. If not, every time you turn it off and turn it on again, you need to wait for a few minutes and then go to the no-ip website to update the new IP address. If you forget to do so, you cannot view the images through IE.
There are also other factors like firewall, etc. The set-up is quite complicated but luckily we only need to do it once.
Because the port 80 for HTTP is blocked by netvigator, so another port is needed. e.g. 8181 for HTTP and 1600 for vedio.
And they are needed to tell Windows XP those ports are opened for use.
control panel, network connections, right click netvigator, properties, advanced, not select firewall( set at your router only), click setting, you should add 2 item, say 8181 for http and 1600 for vedio port. From here Windows XP know to open this ports to accept your Veo signal.

The company is just a distributor, not Veo themselves. You can buy from Shop 112, Mongkok Computer Centre, Nelson Street, Mongkok. Back then it costed $23xx for wireless cam. Set-up is quite tedious but once its done the cam works quite well.
