Personally I bought everything from
HK... And when it all finished, I will get it from taobao where shops sell HK stuffs:) or get family ship it over! But it will be much easier and cheaper to ship from SZ!
It covers all the foreign brand e.g. NUK, Avent, Pigeon, Mustela, Pampers, Huggins, etc. both locally produced and imported. You order via phone and they deliver right in front of your door! Payment method is always COD. Highly reliable and recommended.
She is quite ok. So the two links for your reference:
As far as kindergarten is concerned, my daughters are 6 and 4. Both of them attend school at Yew Chung, year 1 and K3. I like the school very much because it is truly bilingual and liberal. So far my children are really proficient in 3 languages hence I am very content with the school. At least they enjoy going to school and do not show any resistance! I believe there is no one perfect school. It really depends on what your expectation is on your children's education. Therefore I suggest you talk to the schools and schedule a site visit if possible, which is anyway mostly welcomed by them. Good luck!
GP consultation at Intl SOS is approx. RMB 600-800, excl. medication
School Fee: Could easily check from their official website. Below please find link to Yew Chung's official website. You will find answers to most of your questions under "Admission". With Yew Chung they are absolutely compliant, therefore UTM is forbidden. Application is straightforward: fill-in the form, hand-in the form and if they could allocate a seat for your child, straight in. This is valid for kindergarten. I understand from other parents with older kids, say 7-10 years old who want to apply international schools here do require interview and admission test.
Another suggested reading for you to familiarise Beijing is the "Beijing Kids", which is a complimentary publication available at most of the places e.g. restaurant, bars, hospital where expat. hang out. It is a real good guide for those who are new to Beijing - At least the recommendation in the magazine is up to acceptable international standard. I think they have their own website too...
