I was using the same method as bktcc and my two girls had successfully not using 尿片 since 1 and half years old. She never used 尿片褲. However, at night time, I placed a plastic mat(cotton top, plastic bottom, available at most department store) under her lower half of her body while she was sleeping, it might wet few times until the kid knows when to ask parent to bring her to toilet at night time.

Hi, "poo poo" 其實同 "尿尿"一樣, 如你的小朋友有一定的習慣, eg. 每天在何時"poo poo" 那你就在那段時間叫佢去厠所坐下, 去唔到, 隔一陣, 再問再去, 但唔好坐太耐唔好迫. 試多一兩次. 但你要有心理準備啦! 因沒有片片, 你明啦. 如果小朋友係無定時, 那你留意一下小朋友每次"poo poo"前有無d小動作, 一發現, 就同佢去厠所, 同樣未必次次成功, 可能還會弄到...... 但要有耐心.當佢有一次成功, 你要贊下佢, 同解釋給小朋友知, 這樣又清潔又舒服. 大家可以準備一個小盆在小朋友常活動的地方, 預防萬一.

but my girl refuse to use the potty for poo poo.... she will hold for more than 24 hour if I insist not leting her wear diaper.
should I insisit? or should I give in?... I just don't want her to hold poo poo for that long!

or is it okay to let her hold!
