i am curious to know progress re your ORT order at popular. not yet paid not yet ordered? I heard that there were so many enquiries with them that they might need to come up to a contract/licence with ORT before they could sell the books. So.. there is a chance that Popular can't help any more in the future. :-( :-( :-(

My cousin returned from Sing yesterday and delivered the banyan cake to my mum this morining.
But ........

either the instructions (from my mum) were misleading / insufficient;
or my cousin didn't put it into his head.

What he bought was the Indo glutinous multi-layered cake type of banyan cake !!
Wrong cake, but still banyan cake.
My mum was :tongue: but I told her that it was because of her wrong instructions.
I think I am the only one who knows what she refers to, each time she wants anybody to buy something for her.
So no banyan sponge cake after all.

yes i went to Jusco today to stock up grocery items. I will go to Wing On tomorrow to look for winter pyjamas and underwear for my sons b4 the coming big sale starting Thursday.

But, don't panic. I think it would only take a while before popular would come up with a solution. That means more sluggish response if we buy 'cows across the mountains'. I still suggest buying direct at Spore if one makes a trip. Mr Yap has not responded to my emails since he confirmed that my order had arrived and would send out to me.

I even don't know what has been sent out to me. Hope for the best.

- I think the song is quite noisy woh. Your son likes rock ? Jazz ?
And why does your son run away ? Habitual ritual ? Pretend game ?

I ran Click Clack Moo for my son tonight since we had a little time before bed, and once started had to run 3 stories (one silly story and The Pigs' Wedding) then had to forcefully stop viewing.
I think the videos with the animation and songs are more attractive than just the books.

I went to SS yesterday. Only very few books left!! And almost half of the flat was vacant .... think they're preparing for the move.

I'd only bought the Learn to Read series and story telling card games at 50% off.

The book you introduced here make me think of one thing..... I've come across several children books mention about the Tooth Fairy. It seems very popular in the US/UK. Do you know what a Tooth Fairy is? Is it a Fairy who would take out loose tooth of kids and give them a penny in return? Seems we Chinese do not have that kind of thing la.

Re: ORT, do you know there's ORT CD-ROM with stories and games? I know stage 1/1+ to Stage 5 can be borrowed from public libraries. For stage 6/7 and stage 8/9, it's available at ETC (the letterland/ORT showroom) at Taikooshing.
