re 'tooth fairy', i only know the same background but the treats are candies or any kind of gifts from the tooth fairy. Understand that the tooth fairy needs to collect kids' teeth for some reasons.

As for the Mrs Watson Wants your Teeth story, Mrs Watson was thought to be an alien who need to collect bb's teeth to keep her alive. Quite a lovely story!!

I think it is a tale to make kids less scared of wobbly teeth. no such things in Chinese tales.

My son believes in the tooth fairy - he wants the gold. So we collect his teeth (2 up till now) which were pulled out by the dentist in a nice box. (My son's teeth only loosen vvv slightly so not much time for loose teeth.)

Some shops, eg Selangor Pewter, and some shops selling Engl sterling silver items, sell very nice-looking tooth containers (tooth fairy box) ga.

Hi moms,

I just wonder, it seems that you non-stop shopping for new books, can your children read all of them? Or, you simply keep them for youself?

I was clearing my son's bookcase on Saturday and found there are MANY books we seldom read (or just read once). I also notice that, if he is the one go to the bookcase, he only chose the books he loves to read. (kind of a waste for the never touch books)

Any sharing?

Not smart, just mercenary.

Every time I praise him for being good, his follow up Q is :"Do I get the xxx toy car ?"

The tooth fairy kinda reduces kids' worries re losing teeth, pain, the unknown, a hole in the gums, not pretty.

Exactly!! It happened to my girl as well. She usu only takes out her favorite books fm the shelves and seldom touch esp English books. I think what I hv is quite enough for her to know and enough for her to learn the characters. If 1 day she cn read books by herself, what I aldy hv is enough for her to read for awhile.
