之前有朋友送o左幾本Richard Scarry o既書俾我女,佢只是一般喜歡,可能d公仔較細,書內的圖畫比較複雜----一大堆細細o既人物,加圖案details 比較多,雖然教認字,不過,對於囡囡來說好似較混亂,佢好似較難point out一些主角公仔,以及物件、名字等

其他如Eric Carle,Jill Murphy,maisy 大大個公仔,我女喜歡得多

For others:
I read half of the Best Storybook Ever of RS (borrowed from library, quite worn out already). It is a very thick book (around 2.5 cm) with a lovely lion on the cover page. It contains around 70 units or stories or mother goose rhymes. Agree that it is more like a picture dictionary. It introduces a lot of concepts like numbers, Alphabets, months of the year, animals, tools...etc.

Given the small fonts and the scattered setting, may be quite true to say that it is more attractive to moms than young kids, but the contents are really lovely.

If you are a RS fan, may see if you wish own it. Coz it contains a number of RS stories which are avail in sep books, including the Polite Elephant, the Rooster Struts( I introduced earlier) and At the Airport.

Seem that the 'Biggest Word Book Ever" enjoys even better words of the mouth.

I also agree that Richard Scarry's book"d公仔較細,書內的圖畫比較複雜". I will suggest you to take a look "Best Counting Book Ever". I borrowed it from the library. My son loves numbers very much. The pictures are very interesting.

The series of books are suitable elder kids (maybe studying in primary level). These are covering lots of the science topics and the books are introducing the information in a very funny and interesting approach. I think that's the reason why "MBS" are still so popular in US. This is one of the "most favorite/popular" set of the science books published by Scholastics. My son loves MBS very much. Everytime, after reading the MBS, he keeps on asking lots of questions "WHY" relating to the topics?????

Yes! Geronimo Stilton Series 老鼠記者 has the "China Version" as well. It depends on which version "Eng" or "Chinese" that you like. You may consider it few years later or maybe you can buy for yourself.
