Just wonder girls who called Rachel/Rachale will be smart!!

I know at least 5 Rachel/Rachael(s).... they are all v bright (esp good at speech)!!

bicarbonate of soda --- can get in all supermarkets la - soda powder - look in cake mix / baking area. you can use soda to get rid of bad smell and it is a very good cleaner too...
very cheap and effective

When we go for hot pot dinner, we will not boil the food one by one. We will pour all things (fishball, fat-beef, mushroom, wonton, dumplings, squid, fish ..) to the pot in one go instead!

I have bought the Police helicopter when it's on special last week at Sogo and the Police long truck at Toyrus (also at special price) last week, the price at Sogo is $80 more than Toyrus:;pppp:

There is a huge set in TRUs, Police HQ + police motorcycle + police car + prisoner transport, I think it is $999 or $799. This one is OK. Did you buy this ?
The police truck (size and shape like a container truck) is quite good ga.

I've also asked Kv once again whether he would like to have a box of Lego Agents as Christams gift. He confirmed that he wanted to save $$ for books and education instead!

I have bought this set at Sogo when they are on bi-annual sale last month, also HK$799. Then I bought separately the Police helicopter at sogo last week at HK$120 and HK$389 for the truck at Toyrus. We have already finished the Police HQ last weekend

my girl has been selected to represent her class to do the public speaking today, i.e. a topic will be given to her for preparation, about 2-3 minutes, then she is required to have the speech on the stage.....

Dear all,
I broke the rule daring to surf on BK during office hours - in order to look up for suz's soda powder - I sent my helper to go to supermarket to buy soda powder just now. As expected, she couldn't find it & I asked her to look up the ingredients of baking powder for the .... bicarbonate. Hah Hah, I didn't know that suz was kind enough to pull up a picture for us

. Hopefully my helper can buy the right one. But suz, please teach us how to use it - pardon me - I am very dump when it comes to household chores. I suppose we have to add water to the powder, right? But how much water & how much soda, please? Just put a bowl among the furniture to absorb the smell or use it to wipe the furniture? Su-me-ma-sen

KL & RMM,
I have been giving some pocket money to my son to buy from the tuck shop at school, less than $10 every 2 weeks depending on his behavior. But my son began to save it up without buying anything.... Unlike Kv, he has no target for saving up the money. He just doesn't feel like spending it! Are men/boys like that?

I have also enrolled my son for HKMOS btw Dec 29-31. Hope he enjoys it, but I'd better think of how to kill the 3 hours myself - as I'll be taking days off then, prob. I will be sending him myself. Any plans afterwards if Kv likes it? Keep sending him that far?!

JSmami ====> baking powder is NOT soda powder. You have to ask maid to look for the word "SODA"!!!!! Baking soda is pure sodium bicarbonate. Baking powder is powdered baking soda, with cream of tartar (acidic agent) and starch mixed in with it.

usually I just dissolve 1 - 2 heaped tablespoon in a glass of water, amd then I use the mixture to clean the furniture.

I would also sprinkle some soda on top of the furniture and leave overnight (about 8 hours) and if the smell is still there repeat for 1 more time.

you can also put a small bowl of soda powder in the room to absorb the smell.

Thanks. You remind me of my Chemistry lessons - Na(CO3)2, right?! My helper was kind enough to leave Welcome to go to the wet market to buy the baking soda you pulled up for us (the one in orange carton). I'll take it as deodorant & put some in the shoes cabinet as well

I hope my daughter can sleep in her room soon. But I'm quite worried that the smell (chemicals "gaap chuen") actually takes some time to disappear - like radioactivity - which is not good for kids' brain!
