which book about primary school selection is more informative and helpful to new hands like us. You know there are so many publishers publishing such books to earn $$ from us. Cannot buy all but good ones only.

Did you go to the Agnes b sale at SOGO on 16-19 Aug? I missed it. I have not shopped for myself for 6 months at least. I only buy alot for bee and my hubby.

Buddies,
Just wish to tell you that bee enjoys his full day school life much. It makes me more relieved as he enjoys rich programme everyday. He has started Cambridge English pre-starter and will take the Exam next March and will have cooking class (pizza) and outing this and next week. Really touched to see him grow!

I got the books redeemed from Ming Pao & Apple Daily, and bought 香港直資私立小學巡禮 from bookstore. This one is v informative and worth to buy if you target at DSS/PS!

I know the one published by 小牛社 is good too, but more or less similar to the one redeemed from newspaper, the diff is that they're more expensive!!

Didn't hv time to go ah... but I learnt from other BK forum that the venue was vvv crowded!! Even need to queue up for 1.5hr for payment..

btw, I'm not really inerested in Agnes b products....

Just learnt today Sing Tao Daily published one on P1 entry, will receive it next week. I got only 1 pub lished by Cup last year (or maybe earlier), have to read more and keep an eye for the "target"

Anyway, forget the P1 intro bk published by Lotus. Just a copycat of what you can get from pr school websites and Edu Bureau Pr Sch site.
I didn't have Kitty's Sky Book in my days, but found the ones from MingPao and Apple better than most.

==> yesterday he passed YMCA swimming exam for this quarter.
His motivation :
yanyan promised him a pack of 媽咪麵 or 炸薯圈.

Yes, the 香港直資私立小學巡禮 recommended by KL is a good one. Very informative. However, only DSS are being covered.

The other books I would recommend are:
【小一入學面試必讀1000】Totally, there are 3 books + 1 VCD.
【小學名校】
They are published by 小牛社.

Time flies, Bee has started his full day school life already. Is he K2 now?

I am a bit worried about my son when he goes to P1 after summer. Don't know if he can handle everything by himself, e.g copy homework record book, remember his things, attend swimming class, ..., etc. He is so well cared and protected by his maid che-che and grands.

My kids love 媽咪麵 too. Recently, they told me that the instant noodles by 無印良品can be eaten in the same way as 媽咪麵. They are so "為食" !

Just that this time he is NOT scared of water. And was motivated by FOOOOOOD !

Piglet saw the noodles in Muji too, but I refused to buy. Otherwise he'll easily become a bloody piglet

!

Re : P1 life

Don't worry la. At least 80% of kids will forget to do everything, and the teachers will have their way of ensuring that the kids know what they should be doing.
And will his school upload daily assignments / handbook entries onto web / intranet ? Some schools do, so that parents can keep track. Ours does so up to end of P2 . Some others will do it only for P1Term1. Diff practice in diff schools.

Jason is not scared of water also. After about 10-12 lessons (I can't remember), although the strokes are not so proper, he can swim half of the swimming pool at Morrison Hill
