Hello Gloria,

You placed another order on DD again.

The printing quality of "趣趣英语系列" is good but this set of english is written by "korean" and their english is a bit strange.

By the way "Oxford Storyland Series" are suitable for primary level. Actually this series of books is published by Oxford HK almost 10 years ago 1995.
So the level is equivalent to the standard in HK.
I think this is far too difficult for a 2-year-old kid.

There are totally ~ 8 levels (or 12??) . Each book is make up of 3-4 stories and there are some questions referring to the stories at the end of each chapter.
I don't like much the layout of the books as these books look like "textbooks" rather than "storybook".

However, It's really much cheaper than the Hk version. If you're interested you may take a look at the sample at "CxxxxxWxxd" or "Ixxx".

I saw the below books at Commercial Press written by Andrea Hoyer:

Still don't understand where it can be. Ikea alreay occupied the ex-Wing On site. No other shop space nearly as big, unless it is 1 or 2 floors above TL which was a Games 機舖。

The Telford Commercial Press is located next to IKEA, at the former address of Fortress la.

The exact address is Telford Phase II 3/F Shop No.351.

Though its size is not comparable with other outlets at TST and CWB, it is quite a nice place to go and 打書釘 la!

Here, in response to a girl's query to her teddy bear about the process of growing up, she whips up "Mr. and Mrs. Hormone" and their dog, a vile little trio who "live inside you" and "mix the potions that turn children into adults." Typical of Cole's no-holds-barred approach, the girl's parents are used as examples ("your mom sprouted small bosoms and hair in funny places").

She touches briefly on everything from menstruation ("She found a tiny drop of blood in her underpants") to acne and body odor ("He wanted to kiss the girls but Mr. and Mrs. Hormone had made him pimply and smelly"), erections ("Inside his penis, Mr. Hormone was lurking with another dollop of the mixture. This made it grow big and small whenever it wanted") and nocturnal emissions ("some sticky stuff actually came out"). The watercolors are equally candid, and the gleeful depictions of naked bodies may raise adults' eyebrows but children will laugh out loud.

Cole's madcap style leaves no room for embarrassment; it could pave the way for more informative discussions between kids and adults.

PS. I found the review of this book is very diverse, almost half of them give this book 5 stars and the remaining half give it 1 star only!!

學齡前的幼兒，什麼時候了解到：你的不是我的？時針分針怎麼看？1234怎麼數？生病為什麼要看醫生？這些對我們來說近乎反性性認知的事情，對幼兒的小腦袋瓜來說，可是發展上的重要革命呢。就像動作從爬到走一樣，大人看到的一小步，可能是孩子成長的一大步。

這本書也具有這種認知上極大和極小的微妙弔詭--它說得很多，也說得很少。它每一頁文字，少得扳扳手指就數得完：「一個進去」--一頁。「有四個」--一頁。但就像畫龍點睛一樣，你不能由那枚黑瞳仁去理解整條龍；但也不能說工筆繪好龍而不需要點睛那一筆。

這本榮獲1998年波隆那書展最佳圖畫書，及1998年德國兒圖文學獎提名的繪本，有著單純清楚又細緻的畫，畫中場景只有一個房間，五個「生病」的玩具。門開了，一個進去，門關了。門又開，一個出來，換一個進去。其中的時間和細節和理由和改變，要由讀故事、看圖畫的小朋友和大人，一起合作填滿它。

我問了一些看過這本書的大朋友，有人說它是一本教小孩數字觀念和家剪法的書。有人說它是一本教小孩醫病關係，讓孩子不怕看醫生的書。也有人說它是要教給小朋友愛惜玩具，培養觀察力與同情心。也有人把它看成一本幽默的偵探故事。

總而言之，就像學習的無所不在，和無限想像。建議當陪孩子欣賞這一幅幅單純可愛的圖畫時，先別急著發表你的眼睛和心靈讀到了什麼，更要問問孩子他看到了什麼。因為語言，在這本書裡，是極限少，其實也是無限大的。
